Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings,
to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet
to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Trust Me by Kelly Irvin. I really enjoy her books and can't wait to read this one! It is expected to release February 8, 2022.
Happy Tuesday, friends! Today's theme is sharing about our bookish memories, books that made an impression on you, events you have gone to, etc. To find out what our other bookish friends are doing for Top Ten Tuesday check out That Artsy Reader Girl.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are planning to read over the week. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and add to your TBR pile! This meme is hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
I did not do as much reading as I had planned, we had family over for Thanksgiving and my daughter was home from college for the weekend. We had fun hanging out and being present with each other. We watched a few episodes of Leverage (have you watched it?) and taught my daughter how to play Nertz. It's a fun game that can be played with 2-12 players. I look forward to playing it with a larger group!
What I finished this week:
Series: Strike to the Heart #0.5
Author: Danielle Grandinetti
Publisher: Hearth Spot Press
Genre: Historical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Mystery
Source: JustRead Publicity Tours
My Review:
To Stand in the Breach is a debut novella by Danielle Grandinetti. The series will continue with A Strike to the Heart coming April 2022. The stories are centered around the Magdalene Laundries and the Wisconsin dairy strikes of 1933.
Series: Shadow Lake #1
Author: Lenora Worth
Publisher: Kensington Publishers
Genre: Amish, Christian Fiction, Mystery
Source: Net Galley
My Review:
Most books don't start with the main character coming across a body near their family's Inn.
