First Line Friday #33-Fresh Scars

Happy First Friday in January, friends! I hope you all are having a good week. Any plans for the weekend? I am cleaning stuff out, purging, and plan to do quite a bit of reading and blogging. Welcome back to First Line Friday hosted by Carrie at Reading is My SuperPower!! I am also linking up with Gilion on Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings. This is where you share the beginning of the book that you are reading. To join in the fun grab the book you are reading and leave a comment with the first line (or your link).  This week I am reading Fresh Scars by Donna Mumma. This is one of the books I was supposed to read last year but I wasn't feeling it. It is MUCH better than I anticipated and sucked me right in.

Give Me One Good Reason

Title: Give Me One Good Reason

Series: Shaped by Love # 4

Author: Michelle Pennington

Publisher: Kindle

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Source: Kindle Unlimited

My Review:

I love the Shaped by Love series. Give Me One Good Reason is a book I meant to read in 2021 but didn't get a chance to. I am glad that I was able to make it one of my first reads of 2022.

Can't Wait Wednesday-Sunrise

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Sunrise by Susan May Warren. It actually released yesterday :) I also have my copy and will be reading it soon! So, not too long to wait...It is the first book in her newest series, Sky King Ranch.

Top Ten Tuesday-Random Stuff

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all had a fabulous New Year's weekend! Ours was pretty mild. My kids had friends over all day Thursday and Friday, and then we had our youth group over on Sunday, and this introvert is still trying to recover!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is your most anticipated reads for the first half of 2022. Since I have already done that post and will link it below, I decided to do a pretty random post today 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today!

First, I am going to introduce you to my family and tell you just a little bit about us since I have not done that on this blog.

Stacking the shelves #4/Sunday Post #1

This is only my fourth time participating in stacking the shelves, but with Christmas and thrift shopping I got a LOT of books that I want to share!!!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. Don’t forget audiobooks! In other words, if you can read it or if it can be read to you – no matter how you got it – it belongs in Stacking the Shelves. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.
