Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:
I finished four books this week and DNF'd two. I am excited about my library treasures this week and my book mail, and not just because I haven't had any books out from the library in over a month (reading my own books)! I read my first Megan Walker book last week and I couldn't wait to read more, and now I can. I am trying not to start any new series (impossible), but her books are all stand alone, so I can read them in-between other books. Some Bright Someday is the 2nd of a series. I listened to the first one on audio last month and this one and the third one are sadly not available as audio, so I had to wait for this one to come in. My library doesn't have the third book, but I can get it on Kindle unlimited. So last week I mentioned an Instagram Post about a lady who feeds her family on $300 a month (they are a family of 4, but her kiddos are still young)! So that was my inspiration for these cookbooks.
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: Claire Holloway is Winging It by Angela Ruth Strong
Top Ten Tuesday: C is for Cool books or something like that
Book Review: Counterfeit Truth by Crystal Caudill
Book Review: No More Boring Bible Study by Faith Womack
Reread: Pixels and Paint by Kristi Ann Hunter

I hope your vertigo issues are soon resolved!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mae!
DeleteThat’s from mae at maefood.blogspot.com … don’t know why it came out anoymous
ReplyDeleteWordpress can be weird at times.
DeleteGeez, I hope the vertigo issues lessen for you. Those Megan Walker books look good! I have been wanting to look up better recipes myself.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good week and thank you for checking out my post!
Thanks Ashley! I hope you will check Megan Walker's books out!
DeleteI add more to the reading list than I read, so I'm woefully behind! Have a good reading week.
ReplyDeletePT has worked for me for many issues, so I hope it helps resolve your vertigo. Good luck with it.
Harvee, I totally understand that, LOL! Have a good week!
DeleteSo cool you've got hold of a plant based cookbook! I've been vegan since 2014, it's amazing what you delicious food you can make. Have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteSara, we are not vegan, but I do have a lot of food allergies/intolerances, so we do try to eat more plant based dishes.
DeleteDefinitely, I hope you can find some great recipes in there! Happy cooking.
DeleteThanks, me too!
DeleteI had never heard of a vestibular clinic either, but that is good to know. I'm glad you were able to get in and see someone for the vertigo this past week and that your sister pointed you in the right direction. I hope you get relief from it with physical therapy. Hope you have a good-feeling week! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meezan!
DeleteI hope the therapy knocks that vertigo out!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jinjer, me too!
DeleteI hope your vertigo gets better and the PT helps. My mom had it and the PT was super helpful.
ReplyDeleteSarah, thanks for sharing that! It gives me hope.
DeleteThat sounds so frustrating, Cindy! I hope the vertigo settles down and you can get some answers from the PT. I'm so glad you got some exciting library treasures and book mail amongst all the frustration, though!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karis, the little things matter for our happiness, LOL!
DeleteThe vertigo sounds miserable. I hope the PT can help you sort it out quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy!
DeleteI hope your vertigo gets better quick! Hopefully the therapy will help. 🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley!
DeleteOoof, sympathies on the vertigo. I get BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) sometimes, and am very glad my mother's a doctor and taught me to do the Epley maneouvre to settle things -- it usually works in a couple of tries for me, thankfully. I hope you find something that helps soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky!
DeleteI'm so sorry you are still suffering from vertigo. I hope the specialist and therapy will help you. Good luck with all of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteFunctional vertigo is still NOT fun. I'm so sorry. Hope the PT helps. Good luck this week! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark! I agree, I am ready to get back to all my normal activities!
DeleteI hope you recover soon! My husband had vertigo and saw physical therapist. Ever since then he is not had another attack. Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia, I appreciate it!
DeleteSending healing wishes to you. Thinking of you today.

DeleteHope vertigo leaves you alone soon! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bree!
DeleteThat sounds awful Cindy! I hope you can get some relief soon. I actually was just looking at a therapy place near us that offers vestibular therapy! I was researching a different type of therapy for Wyatt but I noticed that they also offered that.
ReplyDeleteErin, I hope the therapy you are researching for Wyatt is helpful as well!
DeleteI am glad for an update on your health issue and irritated with a medical system that makes us jump through so many hoops when we are clearly miserable. Keeping fingers cross and prayers coming that all will get resolved soon.
ReplyDeleteMy brief Sunday Salon: https://headfullofbooks.blogspot.com/2026/05/sunday-salon-mothers-day-2026.html
You are soooo right about the hoop jumping!
DeleteThanks Anne, it has been so frustrating, but I also learned a long time ago we have to be advocates for our own health. No one knows our bodies as well as we do, nor does anyone cares as much as we do!
DeleteOh Cindy how awful! I hope they can correct this soon. I couldn’t read when I had vertigo but I’m glad it doesn’t affect you. Try and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteJodie, it was affecting my reading, but I was doing it anyway, LOL! It would just make me more nauseous. Now, it's mainly in the morning and night.
DeleteOh my! You know I completely understand. For different reasons but just the frustration and having to wait and see specialists etc. I’m so sorry 😞 hoping you get answers soon. Try to rest, your blog friends will still be here even if you need a break ❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks Shellie!
DeleteCindy, I hope that this week is a better one and they can figure out how to help you with that dizziness. Be kind to yourself, girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteSo sorry to your vertigo. My husband had it a few years ago and his doc told him about an exercise, the video was on youtube and it helped him so much.
ReplyDeleteHena, with where it is at, they do not want me to try that exercise, it could make it worse. PT will work with me so I don't do something wrong.
DeleteVertigo is the worst! I so hope that the cause is an ear stone that PT can put back in its proper place.
ReplyDeleteOlivia, me too, thanks!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your health troubles of late. I don't know very much about vertigo, but read quite a bit of information after I read your post and - YIKES!! Hopefully you have an answer for the cause soon, friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, it's certainly not easy! Today is more of a struggle than other days, it's such an odd thing. The PT guy said it could be migraine related as well, and after today, I believe him. I have had such a bad headache, so the vertigo has been around all day. So odd how things can affect the body.
