Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your te shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Bought: This is where the confessions start coming in, LOL! In some ways, I am annoyed with myself, because I had made a great dent in reading the books I own, and now I lessened that dent! First, my husband and I went to Barnes and Noble on our way to TN and I bought a beautiful copy of Little Women (probably the prettiest book I own). I have been wanting to read it again, but my copy is packed up. Then, on Tuesday we went to McKay's in Knoxville-one of the best used bookstores, and I caught some of their better deals, so really, I had too 😂 (like books for .75 cents, $1, and $3)

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
Good luck getting over your virus!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mae! I hope you are doing well.
DeleteI'm glad you are feeling better and wow, great photos of the reunion!
ReplyDeleteThat's some good haul from McKays and I can see how you couldn't resist some of those titles.
Thanks Tina!
DeleteSometimes you just have to buy books. ;D Glad you were able to enjoy your family reunion, and I hope you're able to get a lot of rest this weekend and feel better quickly.
ReplyDeleteLark, I agree, but I am also struggling with guilt, which is weird because I had the money, they are great prices...but I am trying to get that unread number down, LOL!
DeleteI'm glad that you got to enjoy the reunion. I hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy!
DeleteThat is a beautiful cover of Little Women. Please do feel better soon! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meezan, I LOVE the decorated pages!!
DeleteI'm glad to know you're feeling better. We had family reunions on my mom's side every year as far back as I can remember until all the parents were gone. I miss them and would love to see my cousins once a year still.
ReplyDeleteVicki, my siblings want to try and start doing this yearly. It is hard when we live in three different states. I haven't seen my cousins in YEARS.
DeleteOof, hope you feel better and do manage to get lots of rest over this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky, I am too sick to do much else.
DeleteI can't resist books on sale for such prices! I must confess that I went to two bookstores, two libraries, and one book sale last week.
ReplyDeleteThat Little Women book is beautiful. Enjoy the reread!
Deb, I love it!! I utilize the library as well, if not, think of what all we would spend, LOL!
DeleteNice family reunion pics! That's good you didn't get sick before the reunion, hope you get well soon. The copy of Little Women is so pretty, I like those versions of the classics they have at Barnes n Noble. I resisted buying Withering Heights last time I went!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love Barnes and Noble's covers of books...but why resist, LOL! It's nice to have one pretty book ;)
DeleteI hope you feel better soon! I, too, love McKays and find it hard to show restraint when I manage to go lol–which, fortunately, is not often, since there's not a location near me! My sister and her husband live in TN, though, so I try to get to McKays when I visit them.
ReplyDeleteKaris, same! I don't live near McKay's either, so I do try to go when I am close to one of their locations!
DeleteDelighted that you managed to recover in time for the family reunion - gosh, what a lot of you!! And what lovely photos. As for books... I've stopped getting worried about the huge, teetering piles of unread books I've amassed. If it was anything else, I'd be concerned. But I'm a bookworm - it's what we do:)). Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI know, I need to let my guilt go! I got sick the day after the reunion, and I am still sick.
DeleteHope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bree!
DeleteOh Cindy! I'm glad you didn't get sick for the family reunion and am now praying you'll feel better soon! I've read The Circle Maker by Batterson and enjoyed it. Aw yes, Streams in the Desert is always encouraging. You are indeed blessed to have such a beautiful family! Feel better!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patricia! I also read The Circle Maker by Batterson and enjoyed it. I have been wanting to read more of his books.
DeleteI’m glad you remained well for the reunion, and hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy reading week
Thanks Shelley!
DeleteOh no, so sorry to hear you're under the weather. Sending prayers for a quick recovery. That is a beautiful copy of Little Women.
ReplyDeleteSimply Angela
Thanks Angela!
DeleteI hope you feel better soon. We are expecting another bad flu season in my area and no vaccines are available for another month.
ReplyDeleteOh yikes, Jodie, I hope you and your mom stay healthy! I am planning to get my flu shot after I get over this. My doctor said there are SO many things already going around and most are lasting around 10 days.
DeleteI'm sorry you've been sick. I hope you are feeling better. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteWell, I'm glad you did not get sick for the reunion, but sorry you got sick later. Which family member can you blame? Hmmm.... Just kidding!
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for pretty books or cheap books so I shall forgive you your trespasses against your commitment not to add more books to your pile. You'll have to ask Jesus to forgive you too! *wink* (again..I'm just teasing!)
Looks like a great list though! here is to you feeling better and staying healthy!
Lisa, LOL! Thanks :)
DeleteLots of fascinating books, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma!
DeleteSo sorry to hear you haven't been well! I hope you're feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Haze, I think I am finally improving!
DeleteI hope you're feeling better! Those photos are great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aj!
DeleteMcKays is a dangerous place! I discovered one about 45 minutes from where I live and of course had to make a road trip of it! Looks like you picked up some great books! Your reunion photos are great! It must be so much fun to get together with everyone! I'm glad you didn't get sick before the reunion. I caught Covid from my hubby, and who knows where he got it. But he woke up one morning really sick and about a week later I followed. It's been about 3 weeks now and we are finally starting to feel better.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, McKays is a very dangerous place, but we are rescuing books, LOL!!!! I am so sorry you all have been sick with Covid, I had it the first time in June and I was sick for two weeks. I have taken 3 Covid/flu tests this time because the sickness has just lingered, but all have been negative. Thanks for stopping by!!!
