Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Favorite Secondary/Minor Characters. I am not great at remembering these things, so I am going to continue with the Alphabet, today highlighting "D" titles. A B, and C. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-D is Delightful-These 6 are owned but unread

Double Shot by Erynn Mangum is the 3rd in the series. I have the first two, but haven't read them yet. Delivered with Love by Sherry Kyle is a standalone novel.

A Deadly Business by Lis Wiehl-I have never read this author, so the book hasn't had a strong pull for me to read it. Dawn's Untrodden Green by Carolyn Miller-I had forgotten this one was on my shelf.

Deadly Currents by Elizabeth Goddard is the 3rd in the series. I rated the first two books 5-stars, so I am not sure why I haven't read this one yet. The Duke's Bargain by Megan Walker is a recent purchase, and coming up on my TBR soon. I did learn that both main characters were previously in other books. I have read one of the books, but need to read the other before diving into this one. It is technically a standalone novel, but I want all the background before diving in.
Four Favorites that start with D-click on the cover to be taken to my review
Daddy-Long Legs by Jean Webster is one of my favorite classics. I also adored Dear Henry, Love Edith by Becca Kinzer.
Double Take by Lynette Eason is the first of a series, and it was impressive. Dragonfly Ashes by C.C. Warrens is explosive!
What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

DeleteGreat picks. Have a good week. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2026/05/19/top-ten-tuesday-30-favorite-secondary-minor-characters/
ReplyDeleteThanks Danyelle!
DeleteI dipped out too, thanks for sharing your #TTT
ReplyDeleteShelleyrae, sometimes we have to.
DeleteI went with an alternative this week as well. It seems a lot of us did!
ReplyDeleteLydia, I look forward to seeing what direction you went! I had a great idea for a TTT post this morning, forgot to right it down, and now can't think of what it was, LOL!
DeleteIt seems a lot of people went off topic this week! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeletePoinsettia, it's hard to remember the secondary characters.
DeleteDaddy Long Legs looks familiar. I'm wondering if I read if as a kid and then forgot it. I will need to look up the plot to see if I remember.
ReplyDeleteAnne, it has MANY different covers. I only heard of it as an adult, and in another book I was reading. I loved it, I thought it was hilarious.
DeleteDear Henry, Love Edith looks like a fun read, I love when pen pals are a part of the story.
ReplyDeleteLindsey, same!
DeleteI can’t believe I forgot about Daddy Long Legs and Dear Edith. A fantastic list! I think it’s fun we did the same letter. 🤗
ReplyDeleteThanks Andi, I do too :)
DeleteI hope you enjoy reading the six that are still on your TBR.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/ten-series-ive-caught-up-on-in-2026/
Thanks, Pam, I do too!
DeleteLooks like we both went in a different direction this week. These look really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteI haven't read any of these. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHena, thanks for stopping by!
DeleteWhat a great choice for today, Cindy. I have never heard of Daddy-Long-Legs until today. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, it is a delightful book!
DeleteI went with the original topic, but it was difficult - I only managed seven. I haven't read these ones but I hope you will enjoy the ones that you haven't gotten to yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! Seven is still good!
DeleteLove it! :D My mind went blank when I read this week's TTT topic, so I didn't even attempt a post this week. ;D
ReplyDeleteLark, I completely understand that, LOL!
DeleteI keep thinking I need to read Daddy Long-legs. I missed that one growing up!
ReplyDeleteErin, so did I, but it is so good!
DeleteMy memory is terrible, so I have trouble with these kinds of prompts as well. I'm glad you found a different route. I went rogue this week as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Thanks Susan.
DeleteNot only did you think of ten titles beginning with "D," but you also came up with en titles beginning with "D" with ten different first words!
ReplyDeleteDeb-D really is delightful, LOL!
DeleteRe: Deadly Currents, it's always nice to know one has a fun and likely to be high rated book hanging around on the TBR! Hope you enjoy it once you get to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky!
DeleteI used to have that one (it looks cute though) by Sherry on my shelf, but didn't ever read it. :) Thanks for visiting my list last week.
ReplyDeleteRissi, I picked it up last year at a thrift store...and it has sat on my shelf ever since...maybe this summer, LOL!
