Top Ten Tuesday- "B" Book titles

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books that Surprised Me (in a good or bad way). I last did this topic in 2021 and you can see my post here. I might be able to come up with 10 again, but I am not feeling the topic. I am going to take a page out of Pam's book (Read!Create!Bake!) and do titles that start with a letter. I am going to do "B," A is hereTop Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Ten books on my PHYSICAL shelves that I am might (should) going to read soonish that start with "B":

Bittersweet by Cathy Marie Hake-Historical Fiction

Beyond a Doubt by Colleen Coble-Suspense

Blue Bottle Club by Penelope J. Stokes-Historical Fiction
By the Light of the Silvery Moon by Tricia Goyer-Historical Fiction
The Butterfly and the Violin by Kristy Cambron-Historical Fiction
The Bronte Plot by Katherine Reay-Contemporary
The Beloved Hope Chest by Amy Clipston-Amish-Contemporary
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate-Historical Fiction
Between You and Us by Kendra Broekhuis-Contemporary-Magical Realism (uh-oh!)-not my typical genre.
Between the Sound and Sea by Amanda Cox-Contemporary-I thought it was historical fiction.

So, what I learned from this list is that I have a LOT of historical fiction that still needs to be read, and that historical fiction authors like to start their book title's with "b." I also realized I hadn't read some of these because I thought they were different genres. I have not been reading as much historical fiction lately, but obviously have quite a bit I need to get read.

Have you read any of these? What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  3. Nice list, Cindy. It's fun to peek into our TBR list every once in a while to recall what we have. I think I have some Coble books here. Always a good read. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Cheryl, I think I have read the Colleen Coble book before I was keeping up with them on Goodreads, so I will read it again, just to be sure, LOL!

  4. I’ve read four out of your list. Kristy’s, Amanda, Katherine’s, and Before We Were Yours. It was my favorite book the year it released.

  5. Before We Were Yours is one of those books which caused me to do a lot of outside research. I can't believe the deviousness of some people. Ugh.

  6. The Bronte Plot was good (from what I remember) and I had Bittersweet at some point. Though I haven't a clue if I read it or not. ;) Thanks a bunch for visiting my list!

  8. I remember reading Blue Bottle Club long ago (2002---I looked it up). It was a popular choice among my book friends on the social media of the time (mostly listserves!)

  9. I loved Before We Were Yours! I was surprised to learn the villain, Georgia Tann, grew up in a small town about ten miles from me. She was so evil! Great list!
