Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Indie Freebie (submitted by @dark.shelf.of.wonders and Books Are The New Black). I do read a lot of Indie authors, so hopefully this will be a pretty easy topic this week. The hard part will be narrowing it down. My time was short this week, so no books, but if you click on the authors name, it will take you to their Goodreads page. All authors write clean books (minimal to no language or spice). I tried to do this but I don't read many books with Nationalities in the title. I found three. So, instead, I am going to go a different route.  I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "F." Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Book Series I Want to Catch Up On (or series you’d like to start). I have finished 19 series so far this year. It is always a goal to finish some, but I never commit to a certain amount because I don't want to put too much pressure on me, especially since I am a mood reader. And, as a mood reader, it is hard for me to narrow down which series I want to finish (I currently have 48 series started that I do want to finish (some series have been DNFed)). Of course, part of the problem is that some of the books in the series have yet to be written, making it hard to complete them. I decided since those of us in America just celebrated Independence day, to highlight a series that celebrates this holiday. There are thirteen books in the series and they can each be read as a stand alone novel. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books on My Summer 2026 To-Read List. This one will be easy as there are SO many books that I want to read. The hard part will be narrowing it down to 10. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books I Can't Believe I Never Read. I am not one to linger very long on books that I never read, or worry about what I might be missing out on. I have plenty of books that I want to read. Therefore, I am going to go a different route today. I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "E." TTT-Priority books for 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). I was totally going to do this topic, but my Mom passed away on April 4th, and all the books I was coming up with were about funeral's, scattering ashes and the like, so I decided to skip it so it wasn't a super downer post. I was able to be with my mom for a few days before she passed, and have been home since Thursday. I am still processing everything and doing ok. This is always fun and I have a gazillion books I want to read. Just and FYI, I am struggling and in a weird head space. My mom is not doing well, and is officially in hospice. I am grieving (anticipatory grief), and it is hard for me to focus and keep up with things. If you notice slack over the next few weeks (or past few weeks), this is why. Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Genre Freebie. I decided to go with book preorders. I have never done a post like this before, probably because I rarely do preorders (money has always been tight). But, this year, there are a handful of books (7!) I can't wait to get my hands on, so I decided to do preorders. I love being able to support authors in this way, and trust me, I understand not everyone can.
