Happy Tuesday and Happy New Year my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is : Best Books I Read in 2024. The hardest part about today's topic is going to be narrowing it down. I had 55 books that I marked as a favorite in 2024 (and that's assuming I didn't miss any)! Let's be honest, I am not going to try to get it to 10, but will *try* to keep it around 20. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
A few of my favorites from 2024:
Happy Tuesday and MERRY CHRISTMAS my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is : Books I Hope Santa Brings/Bookish Wishes (List the top 10 books you’d love to own and include a link to your wishlist so that people can grant your wishes. Make sure you link your wishlist to your mailing address or include the email address associated with your e-reader in the list description so people know how to get the book to you. After you post, jump around the Linky and grant a wish or two if you’d like. Please don’t feel obligated to send anything to anyone!)
I thought about skipping this one, but I love seeing people's wishlists (don't we all!) and I hope to grant a few wishes today. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-Dear Santa, I Want Them All
I love Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. I first read it on Kindle and LOVED the illustrations. I bought a copy for my keeper shelf and it didn't have illustrations!!! So, now I have one on my wishlist. |

My Review:
I first read Criss Cross 5 years ago. Back then I was not doing full reviews. I wanted to reread it because it is one of my favorite books/series. And, I wanted to experience it again.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books to Read During a Storm (these can be cozy/comfy reads, books with storms in them, atmospheric reads for dark and stormy nights, light reads to combat the heavy weather, etc.) (Submitted by Astilbe.) While it is a great topic, I am going to tweak it for books to read in a snow storm. These books might have a snow storm in them, or they might just have snowy covers, we'll see what I come up with.Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-Ten + books to read in a snow storm
It does have a blizzard in it, my full review will be up on Thursday, but I LOVED Waiting for Gilbert by Tasha Hackett, so much witty banter, overall a fun story. |
So, part two of the JustRead Rendezvous 2024 reader event. You can read part one here. After lunch was another reader panel. Kimberley Woodhouse was the moderator of this one. Each author had to pick one of their characters to be and only answer as that character. It was hilarious. Several authors on the panel were suspense writers, and a couple were fantasy. Sara Ella was one of the authors and I loved her answers. She was in character as Alice in Wonderland from her book The Wonderland Trials. While I had read several authors books who were on the different panels throughout the day, hearing all the authors talk and interact made me want to read their books, even though several are genres I don't read.
October feels like it was a pretty good reading month. It was another month with quite a few romcoms, but I also read my first Christmas book of the season. Let's see how I actually did. I read 20 books and DNF'd one. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

My Review:
Dragonfly Ashes picks up where Firefly Diaries (book 1) ends, and continues with Noelle, Dereck, and Skylar's story. For this reason, I think it is best to read Firefly Diaries before reading this one.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Ten Favorite Books from Ten Series (We all have a favorite book in our favorite series, right?) (submitted by A Hot Cup of Pleasure). I will do my best to come up with ten!! My favorite book from ten different series
Crossroads #5 in the Holly Series-although I have LOVED every book in the series. I *think* this is my favorite, so hard to pick!!
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Debut Novels I Enjoyed (A debut novel is an author’s first published book. You could also choose to share genre or age group debuts if you’d prefer, such as an adult fiction author’s first YA book or a mystery writer’s first romance.) Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Favorite Books of 2023. I am not going to try to narrow my favorites down to ten. With over 40 books added this year to my favorites shelf on Goodreads, I will do my best to narrow it down to a reasonable number. On the personal side, October was a hard month with my son's surgery and ongoing recovery, and having had (and still have) bronchitis for the last two weeks. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 22 books and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.
