Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books With Nationalities In The Title (e.g. The French Lieutenant’s Woman, Mexican Gothic, An American Marriage, etc.) (submitted by Cathy @WhatCathyReadNext). I tried to do this but I don't read many books with Nationalities in the title. I found three. So, instead, I am going to go a different route.  I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "F." August Reading Wrap Up 2026

August was a blur. It was busy and I can't quite remember most of what I did, LOL. I did a lot of walking, so I finished more audiobooks than I normally would. I feel like I got a lot of reading in this month. So, lets see what I actually did. I finished 24 books, and I had one DNF and one 2-star read. Overall, I was disappointed in quite a few books that I read, which doesn't normally happen. This is a fairly quick-paced story, with a lot of moving parts and WWII history.

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay. I had vertigo again last weekend, and headaches all week. This landed me back in PT on Tuesday, only to find I had another ear crystal, this time on the left side, causing the vertigo. It made for a longer week, dealing with that, plus the headaches and nausea that go with it, but I survived and it is the weekend! And, I am feeling better, praise God! We don't really have any plans, other than church. If the weather cooperates we will be out walking/hiking, but beyond that, it's mostly relaxing.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). October Reading wrap-up

I can't even believe we are at the end of October (well, beginning of November, LOL!! This month has been insanely busy. We are packed up, our house closed on Tuesday, and we close on our new house next Friday! We are staying at my in-laws during this transition period.

I love reading Carrie Stuart Parks books! I did not realize this was her debut novel until I started writing this review 😀 A Cry From the Dust is the first in the Gwen Marcey series. While each can stand alone, I recommend reading them in order.
