This is a fairly quick-paced story, with a lot of moving parts and WWII history.

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay. I had vertigo again last weekend, and headaches all week. This landed me back in PT on Tuesday, only to find I had another ear crystal, this time on the left side, causing the vertigo. It made for a longer week, dealing with that, plus the headaches and nausea that go with it, but I survived and it is the weekend! And, I am feeling better, praise God! We don't really have any plans, other than church. If the weather cooperates we will be out walking/hiking, but beyond that, it's mostly relaxing.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). I'm sorry, but I don't read a lot of books with true villains, and the suspense with bad guys, I just don't remember enough details to do a list. October Reading wrap-up

I can't even believe we are at the end of October (well, beginning of November, LOL!! This month has been insanely busy. We are packed up, our house closed on Tuesday, and we close on our new house next Friday! We are staying at my in-laws during this transition period.

I love reading Carrie Stuart Parks books! I did not realize this was her debut novel until I started writing this review 😀 A Cry From the Dust is the first in the Gwen Marcey series. While each can stand alone, I recommend reading them in order.

My Review:

If you want a fast-paced, quick read that will have you on the edge of your seat, look no further. I have read several of Parks' books, and they have all been five stars. I am happy to say that this one will join that club as well.

Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any plans for the weekend? Saturday morning I will baby-sit for a church meeting, then spend the rest of the day relaxing, hanging out with family. Sunday is church and then more relaxing! Hopefully I will get in some good reading this weekend!
