At the beginning of the year I listed my 2023 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. As the year progressed, I was really feeling pressure to hit my book challenges, but had lost sight of my reading goals. So, let's see how I did!

November Reading Wrap Up 2023
November passed in a blur of work, travel, car troubles, and my son's ongoing recovery. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a
decent reading month. I read 13 books (low for me) and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of
the book if you are interested in the review.

Top Ten Tuesday-Fall TBR 2.0
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:

Top Ten Tuesday-Net Galley rejections that crushed me
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is things that are getting in the way of reading. I get a fair amount of reading time so this doesn't really apply to me. So, I decided to go with a topic that Lisa @thePlain-Spoken Pen did recently: Net Galley rejections that hurt my heart. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
10 Net Galley rejections that crushed me AND have I read them yet?!
10/31/20 no, nor is it on my TBR 🤷 when I finally read the first one I might put it on the TBR. 10/28/20-✔

April Reading Wrap Up 2023
April was a good reading month! I had some days off this month and more time in the car, so I was able to get in a few more audiobooks than normal. I also finished up a few series and tried several new authors.
I finished 22 books this month. I did not have any books under three stars or any DNFs!!! Click on the book cover if you want to read my review.

Windswept Way
Series: Hope Harbor #9
Author: Irene Hannon
Genre:Contemporary Romance, Christian Fiction,
Publisher: Revell
Source: Revell, Net Galley
My review:
I love the Hope Harbor series by Irene Hannon. Windswept Way is the ninth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I have read the series out of order (I still need to read book 2), but it has not hindered my enjoyment.

Pelican Point
Series: Hope Harbor #4
Author: Irene Hannon
Genre: Christian Fiction, Contemporary Romance,
Publisher: Revell
Source: Library
My review:
I enjoy the Hope Harbor series and have read them (unintentionally) out of order. While there are repeat characters in each book, it doesn't spoil anything, as each book can stand alone. Pelican Point is the fourth in the series and has two intersecting storylines.

Top Ten Tuesday-A Spring Bouquet of Roses
Happy Valentine's Day, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is favorite heroines. This kind of topic is not easy for me as I don't remember them very well unless I have made a note of them. So, I am going to go a different direction. We are approaching spring and I love roses 🌹 so I am going to highlight ten books on my TBR that has "rose" in the title. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Body of Evidence
Series: Triple Threat #3
Author: Irene Hannon
Genre: Suspense, Christian Fiction, Romance,
Publisher: Revell
Source: Library
My review:
The Triple Threat series loosely follows three sisters. Body of Evidence is the youngest sister, Grace's story. While it could be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading the books in order.
