Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:
Series: Agatha's Amish B & B #1
Author: Vanetta Chapman
Publisher: Vanetta Chapman
Genre: Amish, Christian Fiction, Mystery,
Source: Kindle Own
My Review:
Dead Wrong is a quick read (I read it in one afternoon). I liked that Agatha opened a B & B in Texas that honored her brother's memory.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books That Defied My Expectations. While I have started a list with this topic I have two books on it, and just can't think beyond that. So I am going to be totally lame and do a September TBR list. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Ten books I plan (hope) to read in September:
Happy Independence Day to those in the USA!!! Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Book Covers In the Colors of My Country’s Flag (It’s the 4th of July in the USA today, so tell us what country you live in and share book covers that match the colors of your country’s flag!) I am going to tweak it slightly and do Ten Books I am planning to read before the end of the year that have colors of my country's flag. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Ten books that have the colors of the US Flag that I plan to read this year:
Title: Who the Bishop Knows
Series:The Amish Bishop Mysteries #3
Author: Vannetta Chapman
Genre: Christian Fiction, Mystery, Amish
Publisher: Harvest House Publishers
Source: Library
My review:
Who the Bishop Knows by Vannetta Chapman is the third book in the Amish Bishop Mystery series. I wondered why when I had enjoyed the first two books in the series, I had not read the third.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is 2023 debut books I am looking forward to. Since I literally have no idea of ANY debut books I am looking forward to (does this mean new author debut books? (my assumption) Or just books coming out in 2023?), I decided to go with my February TBR. I never do a monthly TBR so it's new for me, LOL. I decided to list ten of the authors I plan to try this year! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
10 Books I plan/hope to read in February:
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are planning to read over the week. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and add to your TBR pile! This meme is hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
I did not do as much reading as I had planned, we had family over for Thanksgiving and my daughter was home from college for the weekend. We had fun hanging out and being present with each other. We watched a few episodes of Leverage (have you watched it?) and taught my daughter how to play Nertz. It's a fun game that can be played with 2-12 players. I look forward to playing it with a larger group!
What I finished this week:
Series: Indiana Amish Brides #8
Author: Vannetta Chapman
Publisher: Love Inspired
Genre: Amish, Christmas, Christian Fiction, Romance
Source: Net Galley
My Review:
While An Amish Baby for Christmas is the eighth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. I have not read any of the other books in the series and I do not feel like I missed anything.
