January 2024 Reading Wrap-Up

January alternated between flying by and being slow (mostly when I was at my part time job, LOL). I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 16 books and DNFed one. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

The Sheriff's Promise

Title: The Sheriff's Promise

Series: Thunder Ridge #2

Author: Renee Ryan

Publisher: Love Inspired

Genre: Christian Fiction, Contemporary Romance, Love Inspired

Source: Library

My Review:

The Sheriff's Promise is book number two in the Thunder Ridge series. I have enjoyed my visits to Thunder Ridge. I am sad to see this series end (I started with book three, then one, and finally two). I recommend reading them in order 😂.

Stacking the Shelves #99, Sunday Post #96, Sunday Salon #90

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had another busy week. I am REALLY hoping things settle down soon. We found out another problem with my car. When they took the engine apart they discovered the block the engine sits on is not straight. They had never seen that before 😲. Still no word on when we will get the car back. I am hoping to catch up on a few things this weekend, and MOSTLY relax. What are your plans for the weekend?

Surprise Christmas Family

Title: Surprise Christmas Family

Series: Thunder Ridge #1

Author: Renee Ryan

Publisher: Love Inspired

Genre: Christian Fiction, Contemporary Romance, Christmas

My Review:

I started with book three in the Thunder Ridge series by Renee Ryan. After reading that one, I wanted to read Surprise Christmas Family, the first in the series. I was not disappointed.

November Reading Wrap Up 2023

November passed in a blur of work, travel, car troubles, and my son's ongoing recovery. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 13 books (low for me) and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Stacking the Shelves #96, Sunday Post #93, Sunday Salon #87

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had a another busy week, which did not allow for much reading. I was in TN watching my niece last weekend, and headed back to Indiana on Tuesday to take my mom home. I got back to my house around noon on Wednesday. I have a sewing class this afternoon, so I spent part of the morning finalizing that, then we are putting up our Christmas tree this evening. We usually put it up Thanksgiving, but this year we will be in VA. When do you put your tree up? This introvert is completely wiped out. What are your plans for the weekend?

Opening His Holiday Heart

Title: Opening His Holiday Heart

Series: Thunder Ridge #3

Author: Renee Ryan

Publisher: Love Inspired

Genre: Inspirational Romance, Christian Fiction

Source: Own

Challenges: '23 in 2023, Chantel Read's All Day

While Opening His Holiday Heart by Renee Ryan is the third book of the series, it can easily be a stand-alone novel. I do not feel like I missed anything by starting with this book.

Top Ten Tuesday-Fall TBR 2.0

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:
