Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: : Authors I’ve Met. So, today I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "G." I picked ten of my favorites that started with G. Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Indie Freebie (submitted by @dark.shelf.of.wonders and Books Are The New Black). I do read a lot of Indie authors, so hopefully this will be a pretty easy topic this week. The hard part will be narrowing it down. My time was short this week, so no books, but if you click on the authors name, it will take you to their Goodreads page. All authors write clean books (minimal to no language or spice). A Confirmed Rake

My Review:

A Confirmed Rake is the second book in the Donovan series, and while it COULD be read as a standalone novel, I highly recommend reading The Art of Victory first. There we meet Diana (Valentine's sister) and Marmaduke (Rebecca's brother).

I tried to do this but I don't read many books with Nationalities in the title. I found three. July Reading Wrap Up 2026

July was a weird month. I had quite a few health things going on, but seemed to have a bit more free time than I have had lately. I finished 22 books, and I had one DNF. Unfortunately, overall, I feel like the last half of the month was mediocre reading, with a few exceptions. I had three 2-star reads, which is super rare for me (I don't list two stars or DNFs here). I loved this book!  I will say that, given how the story is written, it might not translate as well to audio; I feel like it might be a little harder to follow.

I am so sad that this series is over. I love the Graham family and loved all their stories. I highly recommend reading the series in order. It will make you appreciate this story so much more. I have been looking forward to Tank's story.

A Deal with A Debutante is my first book by Chelsea Bobulski, but it won't be my last. I enjoyed the narration by Amy Scanlon.

The Duke's Bargain

My Review:

While this is a stand-alone novel, there is something you need to know. The Duke from Miss Newbury's List and Georgiana from Lakeshire Park are the main characters in this book. If you have not read those books, I highly recommend reading them before starting this one to understand the full story behind these two characters.

Here is what you need to know. This is a standalone novel. However, if you have plans to read The Duke's Bargain, Megan Walker's newest release, you should first read Miss Newbury's List, then Lakeshire Park, and finally, The Duke's Bargain. The Duke from Miss Newbury's List and Georgiana from this book are the main characters in The Duke's Bargain.

My Review:

I can't believe this is the first book I have read by Megan Walker. Her writing felt like an old friend. I was sure I had read something by her before. Well, now I have a new friend, and I will be reading whatever I can get my hands on by her!

Joy of Heaven

My Review:

What a powerful book. Think of the great revivals and the prayers that were prayed. Prayers by John and Charles Wesley, Charles and Susannah Spurgeon, George Müller, Amy Carmichael, D. L. Moody, and so many more spiritual giants. Then, imagine having those prayers in your hand. That is what this book comprises.
