September was a blur. I don't really feel like I accomplished or did much. I read 18 books and DNF'd two, but I had more variety in reading this month!! Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Read/Avoided Because of the Hype (and did you make the right choice?) I tend to avoid books that are super hyped, for whatever reason that is a turn off to me. Sometimes I will end up reading a hyped book years later, but probably wouldn't have enough to make a list from. So, I am going to go with books that are great to read in the fall. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Ten-ish books that are great for reading in the fall: (click on the book cover if you want to see my review of the book)
The sweater weather series are loosely tied together by their cozy fall romcom vibe and take place in the same town, Harvest Hollow.
Series: The Insta series #2
Author: Jen Atkinson
Publisher: Independently Published
Genre: Romcom, Contemporary Romance, Sports Romance
Source: Kindle Unlimited
My Review:
Can I just tell you how dumb I feel for not quite making an *obvious* connection? I realized that while Insta can mean an instant connection (or in the first book boyfriend) but it is most likely because Instagram plays a big part in the stories! It is so well done, but it took my brain a while to make the connection πππ.

Genre: Clean Romance, Contemporary Romance, Fiction

My Review:
Iris is on her way to meet her cousin, when her car breaks down and strands her in the middle of nowhere. Dean happens to be driving by and offers to assist her. Iris grudgingly allows him to wait in his car while she calls for a tow truck, with her pepper spray handy.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books That Provide a Much-Needed Escape (bonus points if you tell us why!). I am of the mindset that ALL books (at least fiction) provide an escape, so I am tweaking the topic just a little bit to books I recently loved escaping into. In order to make the list, the books must have received 5-stars from me. And, since I have read a TON of romcoms recently...hopefully there is a little bit of variety in the listπ. Top Ten Tuesday: books I recently loved escaping into (tweaked it even more so I am not using the same author or series):
August was a lighter month for me (work wise), but I still feel like it passed in a blur. I read 24 books, eight of which were audio books. I have been traveling around Ohio for the All Ohio Shop Hop, which is why I have so many books and audio books this month. It was unintentionally a RomCom month too, LOL! Once I started a book and it was good, I found myself bingeing the whole series! Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

My Review:
Another Bailey brother? Yes, please! I was shocked when I saw Miles Bailey Gets Down on One Knee. After bingeing the first two books in the series I knew Miles was not dating anyone.

My Review:
I didn't realize that the Bailey Brothers was a spin-off to The Insta Series by Jen Atkinson. I plan to go back and read them as it gives the background to Coco and the Bailey Brothers. However, Owen Bailey Needs Advice and the rest of the Another Bailey Brother series should be read in order.

My Review:
Levi Bailey Has Butterflies is the first book I have read by Jen Atkinson, but it will not be the last. The audiobook releases on the 27th, with narrators Rachel L. Jacobs and Oliver Clarke. It should be a fun read or listen :)

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Was Super Excited to Get My Hands on but Still Haven’t Read. So, I see we are having confessional today, LOL! I am not sure I really want to confess, but I will because I know I am not alone!! The hardest part is going to be narrowing it down to ten. I will also say, some were gifted, some were won, and some I did actually buy. Ten(ish) Shiny books still sitting unread on my book shelves:
Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? Did you miss me? Or did you realize I was even gone ππ? These past few weeks have been insane. I only thought things would slow down. I was going to post last weekend and didn't get time, then me and my husband went to Michigan to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! Hang on tight because I have a TON of books to share this week! Can you guess how many bookstores we visited in Michigan, not counting thrift stores? The answer will be down below.
