Top Ten Tuesday-Location, location, location!

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Destination Titles (titles with name of places in them. These places can be real or fiction! Thanks to Rachel @ Sunny Side for the idea!)  Today we are traveling through books, which is one of my favorite things to do. So, where are we going? Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Ten-ish books that will take us to a specific location. Where are we going? These are all books on my physical or kindle shelves that I have not read.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is book is book quote freebie. At first I was going to skip this week's prompt and do something different, but I decided to give it a go. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Favorite quotes from books I have read:

All Laurel wanted was a few minutes of peace and quiet from a day full of chores to disappear into the pages of a good book. What was the use of being a grown woman if she couldn't even hide long enough to read one chapter? -Laurel's Dream by Pepper Basham

Top Ten Tuesday-Books that surprised me

Happy Tuesday, friends! The theme for today's top ten Tuesday is books I would hand to someone who claims to not like reading. This is difficult for me to do because I feel like you really have to know someone and their interests in order to find a book that will be a good fit for them. Plus, the mood they are in as well will affect their enjoyment of a book. So, I decided to tweak this a bit and do 10 books that surprised me-meaning that I enjoyed more than I thought I would (actually have 11 and could have kept going 😉). To find out what our other bookish friends are doing for Top Ten Tuesday check out That Artsy Reader Girl.

I highly recommend listening to this one on audio for your first reading, otherwise you might miss some of the sarcasm and allegory. This is NOT a genre I would normally read from, but it was fabulous!

Flabbergasted

Title: Flabbergasted (Audio book)

Series: Flabbergasted #1

Author: Ray Blackston

Publisher: Oasis Audio

Genre: Contemporary Fiction, Humor, Christian Fiction, Romance

My Review:

This is the first book that I have read by Ray Blackston and I loved it. I listened to it with my husband and son and we all enjoyed it. We found numerous lines to quote back and forth, and shared many laughs.
