Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Indie Freebie (submitted by @dark.shelf.of.wonders and Books Are The New Black). I do read a lot of Indie authors, so hopefully this will be a pretty easy topic this week. The hard part will be narrowing it down. My time was short this week, so no books, but if you click on the authors name, it will take you to their Goodreads page. All authors write clean books (minimal to no language or spice). December Reading Wrap Up 2025

November and December had me moving (literally), so I did not do a November reading wrap up. However, I did read 25 books (didn't know it was that many until just now, (4 were children's books) DNF'd 2. It looks like I had a record number of 5 star reads as well: 11!! My Review:

Planning for Nickie is the second in the Holidays in Hadley Springs series by Tasha Hackett. While it could be read as a stand-alone novel, I HIGHLY recommend reading Waiting for Gilbert first.

I don't have the brain capacity to figure out where books are set and I thought about just doing books with snow on the cover, but instead I think I will go with my favorite Christmas books so far this year...and if they have snow on the cover=bonus! I have finished this book for the second time and I loved it just as much as the first time I read it last year!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Waiting for Gilbert is the first book I have read by Tasha Hackett, but it will not be the last. I was in the middle of reading this book when I knew I would want to reread it. I am not a huge re-reader, but I want a physical copy for my keeper shelf!

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was long. More work and appointments this week. I ended up going to bed early every night, I am just completely wiped out. I am SO thankful it is the weekend!! I am not sure what we are doing, and that is okay. I will take it as it comes. I am hoping that time change doesn't mess us up too badly, LOL!

The Holly Series by C.C. Warrens remains one of my favorite suspense series! Perfect for those who do not enjoy romance in their stories. Holly has had a difficult life and is hiding from a stalker. My review of Criss Cross.

I love Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. I first read it on Kindle and LOVED the illustrations. I bought a copy for my keeper shelf and it didn't have illustrations!!! So, now I have one on my wishlist.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books to Read During a Storm (these can be cozy/comfy reads, books with storms in them, atmospheric reads for dark and stormy nights, light reads to combat the heavy weather, etc.) (Submitted by Astilbe.) While it is a great topic, I am going to tweak it for books to read in a snow storm. It does have a blizzard in it, my full review will be up on Thursday, but I LOVED Waiting for Gilbert by Tasha Hackett, so much witty banter, overall a fun story.
