My Review:

I first read Criss Cross 5 years ago. Back then I was not doing full reviews. I wanted to reread it because it is one of my favorite books/series. And, I wanted to experience it again.

I had forgotten so many of the smaller details of the story. I was impressed all over again that this was C.C. Warrens' debut novel. It is incredibly well-written, with edge-of-your-seat suspense. I love Holly. She is feisty, mighty, loves big, and has the propensity to get into trouble. She has experienced unimaginable trauma, which is touched on throughout this book. It has given her trust issues and has kept her running from her past. 

I also love the supporting characters and Holly's relationship with them. There is so much going on in the story, but it builds to an epic cliffhanger, although the main thread of this story is resolved. I was sad when I finished the book and couldn't immediately go into the second one because I have other books I need to read right now, LOL! But, I do plan to reread the entire series. This book and series are on my all-time favorites list! I highly recommend it.
