I have had this book on my TBR for years, and have owned it for quite a while as well. It has really been hyped up, so I had high expectations for it.

The Designated Friend is the first book I have read by Drew Taylor, but it won't be my last.

My Review:
I loved how the author did the first part of the book. It started with flashbacks to when Ben and Brooke met, and then several interactions they had leading up to their present day friendship.

Series: Kissing a Kent Brother #1
Author: Dulcie Dameron

My Review:
So, I had to go back and read the first book in the Kissing a Kent Brother series, since I had already read the second one. They are better read in order, but can be read as stand alone novels. I am looking forward to reading the third book when it comes out.

My Review:
I did know that Spoke Too Soon was part of a series when I started reading it. It is the second book in the Kissing a Kent Brother series, but they don't necessarily need to be read in order, although our two main characters meet at the end of the first book.

My Review:
I saved Insta Kiss to read around Christmas, but I could have
easily read it right after reading the second book. Although it is set
around Christmas, it's not essential to read it during the holiday
season. Additionally, it can be easily read as a standalone.

My Review:
While not technically part of a series, this book is best read after Cotswold Holidays, as these two books follow the Winter sisters. Cotswold's Holidays is Luna's story, while Highland Holiday is Callie's.

Series: Sandover Island #1
Author: Emma St. Clair
Narrator: Hannah Vandeven
Source: Kindle own/Hoopla
My Review:
I love Emma St. Clair's books, but it was very obvious that this was an earlier work, as Emma's writing has matured. I also wasn't wild about the narrator.

That Time We Kissed Under the Mistletoe is the fourth in the series, but can easily stand alone. I have read the first two books, but not the third.

While An Unconventional Christmas Love Story is part of a series, it easily reads as a standalone novel (I have not read any of the others in the series).

Series: Holidays with Hart #3
Author: Courtney Walsh

My Review:
My Merry Mistake is the third book in the Holidays with Hart series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. However, I highly recommend reading them all to gain a better understanding of the Hart family dynamics.

I started listening to this book on Hoopla, but it was returned, and I couldn't check it out again. The narrators were fine. I ended up checking the book out from Kindle Unlimited to finish it.

My Review:
Planning for Nickie is the second in the Holidays in Hadley Springs series by Tasha Hackett. While it could be read as a stand-alone novel, I HIGHLY recommend reading Waiting for Gilbert first.

I have finished this book for the second time and I loved it just as much as the first time I read it last year!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!
Original review below:
Waiting for Gilbert is the first book I have read by Tasha Hackett, but it will not be the last. I was in the middle of reading this book when I knew I would want to reread it. I am not a huge re-reader, but I want a physical copy for my keeper shelf!
