What I love about Shelley Shepard Gray's books is that you are immediately drawn into the story. There are not long descriptions or introductions. A is for Amish is about four siblings thinking about becoming Amish.

I started listening to The Nice Guy Next Door with narrators Rachel Perry and Joe Hempel. However, I didn't like the female narration.She overdramatized her narration, and it got on my nerves. For example, when things weren't going right with the female character, she had the whiniest voice. I just couldn't deal with it, so I switched to reading it.

Mistletoe Season has three Christmas novellas in it. I had not read anything by Sheila Roberts before, but I have loved several books by Kathleen Fuller and Pepper Basham. I went into it thinking I could skip a story if I didn't enjoy it, but it wasn't necessary because all three stories are wonderful.
