Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay. I did finally get my results from my Table Tilt Test. I do not have POTS, which is good news, but I do have vasovagal syncope (fainting disorder). Long story short, I am to do slow positional changes and avoid my triggers (easier said than done), but at least I know what it is and it is manageable. This weekend we are hoping to go on a few hikes, attend Church, and try and relax. What are you up to?

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay. It was a long week with multiple appointments. I came out of my first appointment (Monday morning, before work), feeling fat and stupid. Wednesday was an eye appointment, hoping to get answers for some of my vision problems I have been having (light sensitivity and stuff), but no answers. However, everything looked great, and I am thankful for that.

June Reading Wrap Up 2026

June was a blur. It was busy and I can't quite remember most of what I did, LOL.  I know I did some reading, so let's see how the month went. I finished 18 books, and I had one DNF. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books I Can't Believe I Never Read. I am not one to linger very long on books that I never read, or worry about what I might be missing out on. I have plenty of books that I want to read. Therefore, I am going to go a different route today. I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "E." Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? It was another long week, but less busy (thankfully) than last week. I was able to exercise every day this week so we are counting that as a win. We are not doing much this weekend, we are pretty wiped out. We are planning to go to Church. Other than that just normal stuff around the house (grocery pick up, laundry, all the fun stuff ;)).

Analyzing my 2025 Reading Goals and Stats

At the beginning of the year I listed my 2025 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. This year I started having to let things go, which isn't easy for me, but there was already so much stress, I didn't need it from my fun hobby.

December Reading Wrap Up 2025

November and December had me moving (literally), so I did not do a November reading wrap up. However, I did read 25 books (didn't know it was that many until just now, (4 were children's books) DNF'd 2. It looks like I had a record number of 5 star reads as well: 11!! For December I read 18 books. One was a 2-star read. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in reading my review.

My Review:

My Merry Mistake is the third book in the Holidays with Hart series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. However, I highly recommend reading them all to gain a better understanding of the Hart family dynamics.

I started listening to this book on Hoopla, but it was returned, and I couldn't check it out again. The narrators were fine. I ended up checking the book out from Kindle Unlimited to finish it.

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was long. I am still completely wiped out. We had 5 showings between M-W, which contributed to the longer week. However, our house DID go under contract, BUT they have to sell their house first. So, my praying friends, please pray their house sells and they continue with the contract on our house. I don't know that I will handle it well if it falls through a third time. I am SO thankful it is the weekend!! We are mostly catching up on projects at home. I feel like I should start packing, but will hold off until their house goes under contract. I have already missed things that got packed up this summer.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump (Which books would you recommend to someone (it’s me, I’m someone) dealing with the dreaded book slump? No book is grabbing their attention or making them excited to sit down and read and they are suffering for it.)
