Top Ten Tuesday-Characters with glasses

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic Covers with [Item] on the Cover (You choose the item! It can be anything at all.) I decided to go with characters with glasses on, but think I should have gone a different direction, LOL! It was hard! Not surprisingly, most of the ones I found were romcoms. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

September 2024 Reading Wrap Up

Top Ten Tuesday-FALLing for reading

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Read/Avoided Because of the Hype (and did you make the right choice?) I tend to avoid books that are super hyped, for whatever reason that is a turn off to me. Sometimes I will end up reading a hyped book years later, but probably wouldn't have enough to make a list from. So, I am going to go with books that are great to read in the fall. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Ten-ish books that are great for reading in the fall: (click on the book cover if you want to see my review of the book)

The sweater weather series are loosely tied together by their cozy fall romcom vibe and take place in the same town, Harvest Hollow.

Summer of Yes

Title: The Summer Of Yes

Author: Courtney Walsh

Publisher: Thomas Nelson

Genre: Women's Fiction,

Source: Library

I recommend reading several reviews before deciding whether or not to read The Summer of Yes. Don't rely on my words alone, but find the critical reviews. Stop looking at reviewers who only give 4 or 5 stars because not all books should be rated that high. On my blog I only feature books that (to me) are 3 stars or higher, but I do rate lower and mark my DNF books on Goodreads.

Stacking the Shelves #135, Sunday Post #132, Sunday Salon #126

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? Last weekend, we were supposed to be in NC, so I hadn't planned to do this meme because I wanted to be present with my husband's family. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we didn't end up going. So, on that Friday, my husband and I went to the final quilt stores I needed to visit to finish the All Ohio Shop Hop!! I have a post linked below if you want to see all the quilt squares I ended up with 😉. We ended up doing a staycation the rest of the weekend. We played a lot of board games together and relaxing, which was good because this week we finally got back to our "normal" routine and it kicked my tail, with extra appointments and stuff. This weekend is going to be very low-key.

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I am doing pretty good. I am finally finished with my nanny position, which means I am finished working 6 days a week, YAY! (at least with 2 jobs, LOL). Today, I am working until about 12:30, having a quick lunch, then heading over to Mount Vernon, OH for my daughter's final Spring Concert, all the feels. It will be a very long day. Tomorrow on the agenda, is church and relaxing, recharging!

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday Characters I’d Like to go on Vacation With (Pretend you’re going on vacation and can bring 10 of your closest friends with you. Pick your vacation spot and tell us who you’d like to bring! Bonus point if you tell us why. Or maybe you like the idea of traveling in small groups, so plan 10 trips or 5 trips!)  I don't have the best memory for remembering characters and honestly wouldn't want to go on vacation with most of them. Therefore, it will be a week where I go off topic again. Today, I will be sharing my Top books read for the first quarter of 2024. Top Ten Tuesday-Green Covers

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday is Weird or Funny Things I’ve Googled Thanks to a Book (Submitted by Astilbe @ Long and Short Reviews) As someone who rarely ever googles things from books I read, I am going to skip this topic. Instead, I am going to do green covers in honor of St. Patrick's Day coming up. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Stacking the Shelves #111, Sunday Post #108, Sunday Salon #102

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? It was another long week. On Thursday I ended up at the doctor's office for an infected cyst on my face. She did not give me antibiotics, but sent me to a specialist. Thankfully, I was able to get in Friday morning. I am now on antibiotics and if all heals well, will have the cyst surgically removed on March 15. I have work this morning, but hope to relax for most of the day. Tomorrow morning is church, and then I plan to spend the rest of the day reading, blogging, and RELAXING 😀.
