Top Ten Tuesday -Eclipse titles

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday is a freebie. I decided with having a full eclipse yesterday to go with words that go with eclipse: sun, moon, and earth. I will also share a few pictures at the bottom of this post that other people took here of the eclipse. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

TTT-Eclipse word titles: Sun, Moon, and earth (no particular order, ones I have read will link to the reviews)

October Reading Wrap Up 2023

On the personal side, October was a hard month with my son's surgery and ongoing recovery, and having had (and still have) bronchitis for the last two weeks. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 22 books and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Top Ten Tuesday-Let's Party!

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is atmospheric books. I regret that I am not feeling that topic at all, too much brain power that I don't currently have. So, tomorrow is my daughter's 21st birthday, so I am going to go with party themed covers/titles. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Ten-ish books that represent party/sweets:

Top Ten Tuesday-Fall TBR 2.0

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:

Stacking the Shelves #88, Sunday Post #85, Sunday Salon #79

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? Any plans for the weekend? I have a headache which is making it hard to want to do anything, LOL! I spent the morning reviewing my book goals for the remainder of the year. I am sending back library books that don't meet those goals, and trying to keep my focus, LOL!!

As far as I know, this is a stand-alone novel.

Top Ten Tuesday-Authors who taught me to enjoy historical fiction

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books I wish had an epilogue. While this is a great topic, it's not one that I think much about. Usually I am pretty satisfied with the endings. So instead, I am going to discuss historical fiction authors that I am trying to catch up on. I picked this topic because I always say I don't care much for historical fiction, but my reading shows otherwise 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Anticipated Releases for 2022

Happy New Year!! I can't believe this is the last day of 2021. I am not sad to see it go and I always eagerly anticipate a new year. I am participating again in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads. Today's topic is books I am looking forward to in 2022. This will be an easy list for me to make since I started a Goodreads shelf a while back with my most anticipated releases of 2022, although most of them are in the early part of the year. The hard part will be narrowing it down to ten. So here we go:

Best of the Best 2021

Today I am participating in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads. Today's topic is the best of the best books. I am excited to share my favorite reads of 2021. They were not necessarily released in 2021, I just read them in 2021. As of today I have finished 251 books and it will be difficult to narrow it down to just ten, so I am going to cheat just a little bit and do a couple of different categories. The books will not be in any particular order.

A Season on the Wind

Title: A Season on the Wind

Author: Suzanne Woods Fisher

Publisher: Revell

Genre: Christian Fiction, Amish, Romance,

My Review:

Opening a book and seeing a "meet the cast" section is a little scary for this reader. I was immediately leery because I have a hard time following quite a few characters, I am better with less. However, I need not have worried as the author took her time setting the stage and introduction of the characters.
