August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.
I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

My Review:
I love the cover of April's Promise by Terrie Todd. However, it doesn't hold a candle to the beautiful story within. As I pause to reflect on the month of December, I am thankful I found more time to read than I did in November. I don't know what my reading life will look like in the new year since I am going to be getting a part-time job, but I hope to still have a decent amount of time for reading and blogging!
I finished 17 books in December and DNF 2. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

My review:
It's been a while since I read a novel by Terrie Todd. I had forgotten how she has a gift of grabbing your attention from the opening scene. Lilly's Promise begins at a funeral that sets the course of the novel.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Unlikable Characters You Can’t Help but Love. I am not doing that topic, mainly because my memory stinks and I can't remember any. So, I looked at past topics and decided to do "Books I loved that have less than 2000 ratings on Goodreads." But, when I looked at my favorites in Goodreads, I realized that could be most of my books 😢 so decided to narrow it down to those with less than 200, and books that have been out at least a year. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Transforming Your Thought Life has 139 Ratings, is rated 4.63, my rating= 5 stars.
Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books that are too good to review properly. I know I have said this multiple times while I have been writing reviews, so will try to find 10 to share, hopefully ones that have not been overshared by me. Today I am participating in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads. Today's topic is the best of the best books. I am excited to share my favorite reads of 2021. They were not necessarily released in 2021, I just read them in 2021. As of today I have finished 251 books and it will be difficult to narrow it down to just ten, so I am going to cheat just a little bit and do a couple of different categories. The books will not be in any particular order.

My Review:
Be prepared for an emotional ride. I loved the idea of this book because I love doing jigsaw puzzles. The storyline is unique and I have never read anything like it. While I am not a huge Historical Fiction fan, Terrie Todd's books always amaze me.

My review:
Terrie Todd weaves a story of racism, war, love, forgiveness, heartache, friendship, hope, and sacrifice. The story begins in 1941 with Rose and her friend Frieda as typical teenagers headed to the movies. The book spans five years, with an update from Tim in an epilogue.

This is my first week participating in Can't Wait Wednesday. Since I have about a million books that I am waiting on to read, I will choose one that is coming out soon...I am featuring Terrie Todd's upcoming release. I read and loved her book The Silver Suitcase!
