Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? Another crazy week around here! I woke up on Wednesday with my right clavicle bone swollen and couldn't get into the doctor until Friday. Friday morning, the doctor canceled, and I had to schedule another appointment in another office further away. No answers, but put on anti-inflammatory meds for the next 6 days. We also had some shocking news, and in our sewing class a student wasn't paying attention and sewed the machine needle right over her finger, breaking the needle through her finger!! She got a quick trip the the ER. I am ending this week very frazzled and exhausted.

Hey bookish friends! This week was back to the grind! I went back to work (nanny job) on Monday. That afternoon I looked out the window and there was a puddle under my car! Guess what went back into the shop on Tuesday?! My MIL also went into the hospital on Monday, with some kind of infection (she had knee replacement surgery the Wednesday before). Wednesday my daughter went back to college and my husband took a mental health day (we needed it!). We also realized there was a puddle in one of the rooms of the basement, so we have a small leak. Thursday I got my car back again! This morning was all work, I am fighting a migraine and I HOPE to relax the rest of this day :) How are you doing?

December Reading Wrap Up 2023

December passed in a blur of rental cars, work, Christmas, travel, and finally some down time!! I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 17 books and I did have a few 5-star reads! Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had another busy week, but it was slower toward the end of the week. Still no word on when we will get the car back. Today I am resting, tomorrow I am going to Church, and Monday I will be celebrating Christmas with my family (with reading on the agenda every day, of course!). What are your plans for the weekend? I have not made a list like that, and this year I don't plan to (gasp!). Usually my list is made up of ARCs and books on my book challenges. August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.

I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

Our carpet was replaced yesterday (5 days early 😀😀😀) so today we are FINALLY unpacking everything we have not been able to unpack (like my 📚📚📚📚)!!! I might go out and do some Christmas shopping as well, but it will mostly be unpacking and organizing!
