Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Book Covers Featuring Cool/Pretty/Unique/etc. Typography (Typography is the art of arranging letters so they look visually appealing and more interesting than, for example, the body text of this blog post you’re reading now. I did a similar post to this a few years ago, so if you need inspiration on what I’m talking about click here to have a look.) Well, I think the last time this topic came up, I skipped it, so let's see what I can come up with today. My Review:

Hearts on the Fly is a heartfelt, faith-filled contemporary romance. The dual narration of AhDream Smith and Hassiam Muhammad enhanced my enjoyment of this story.

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? This week was better than last week, but still busy. I ended up having Monday off because of the weather, Tuesday I ran a bunch of errands. When I got home my son was running a temp of 103.3, so off to the doctor he went, he tested positive for Covid 😭. He had started getting a sore throat Sunday, of course we didn't distance or anything, because Covid was the furthest thing from our minds. Wednesday found at CVS for soft tissues and more Covid tests (I was negative), as of right now, my husband and I are okay. I already had Thursday and Friday scheduled off from work, which worked out great because I could not risk taking the germs into their house (I am a nanny). Thursday I had a follow-up appointment for the aneurysm, all went well and I will have a new scan a year from now. Friday my husband and I went on a field trip to look at a home builder to see if it is an option for our next home, and had a nice lunch at a local coffee shop. This weekend we will mostly be laying low (and continuing to pray we don't get sick). What are you up to?

December Reading Wrap Up 2025

November and December had me moving (literally), so I did not do a November reading wrap up. However, I did read 25 books (didn't know it was that many until just now, (4 were children's books) DNF'd 2. It looks like I had a record number of 5 star reads as well: 11!! Her Christmas Redemption is a quick read about Vivian, who has recently been released from prison. She is a baby Christian and is desperately trying to put her past behind her, while being embarrassed by the circumstances she is in.

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was busy with extra work, but I did manage to get caught up on my reviews (for now), probably because I had less time to read! I did finish the quilt I was working on with my blocks from the all Ohio Shop Hop (pictured below). This morning was work, and because the past few days have been packed, I am just now getting around to doing this post. I am looking forward to doing nothing but resting tomorrow (and you know, blogging, reading, LOL!).

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? Another crazy week around here! I woke up on Wednesday with my right clavicle bone swollen and couldn't get into the doctor until Friday. Friday morning, the doctor canceled, and I had to schedule another appointment in another office further away. No answers, but put on anti-inflammatory meds for the next 6 days. We also had some shocking news, and in our sewing class a student wasn't paying attention and sewed the machine needle right over her finger, breaking the needle through her finger!! She got a quick trip the the ER. I am ending this week very frazzled and exhausted.

Hey bookish friends! This week was back to the grind! I went back to work (nanny job) on Monday. That afternoon I looked out the window and there was a puddle under my car! Guess what went back into the shop on Tuesday?! My MIL also went into the hospital on Monday, with some kind of infection (she had knee replacement surgery the Wednesday before). Wednesday my daughter went back to college and my husband took a mental health day (we needed it!). We also realized there was a puddle in one of the rooms of the basement, so we have a small leak. Thursday I got my car back again! This morning was all work, I am fighting a migraine and I HOPE to relax the rest of this day :) How are you doing?

December Reading Wrap Up 2023

My Review:

You Make It Feel Like Christmas has a beautiful, eye-catching cover. It is a quick read, and not just because it is a novella.

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had another busy week, but it was slower toward the end of the week. Still no word on when we will get the car back. Today I am resting, tomorrow I am going to Church, and Monday I will be celebrating Christmas with my family (with reading on the agenda every day, of course!). What are your plans for the weekend? I have not made a list like that, and this year I don't plan to (gasp!). Usually my list is made up of ARCs and books on my book challenges. I only have one ARC that I have committed to, and I don't plan to do any traditional challenges in the next year (we'll see how long that resolve lasts, LOL). So, my list today is a Christmas list of possibilities. These are books I own, or have out from the library, or have on my Kindle. August Reading Wrap-Up

August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.

I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.
