Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is new-to-me authors I discovered in 2022. I did not focus on new authors as much in 2022 as I did in 2021 (I read over 146) . So, I am curious how many I read as well 😀Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
New-to-me authors discovered in 2022 and the first book I read by them:
Well, looks like I read 55 new ones 🤯 so I will link to my Goodreads shelf and highlight my top 10 favorites:
Do you have a new-to-you author from 2022? If you went a different direction today, what is your topic for this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see

ReplyDeleteDeanna, I absolutely did!! So thankful!
Deleteooh I've not read any of those - I'm going to have to check a bunch of them out, the covers have me intrigued
ReplyDeleteHere's to another year of discovering new authors
Cassie, yes! Here's to another year of discovering great new authors!!
Delete55 new authors in 2022, that's great! Glad to see you found some new favorites :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsey!
DeleteThis is a great list, Cindy! I haven't read any of these but several caught my eye. Mr. H.O.A. looks fun (and I love an Oregon setting) and I really like the sound of The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip! It's so fun discovering new-to-us authors, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWendy, it really is!!!
DeleteLove your list. Just added Roots of Wood and Stone to my B&N cart. Here's to discovering more great authors in 2023.

Cheryl, that's awesome, I loved BOTH of her books that came out last year!
DeleteI read both Melanie Jacobson and Becky Wade for the first time last year, too; but it will not be the last time I read them. And I still want to read Roots of Wood and Stone. Great list, Cindy! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark :)
DeleteLooks like your found some terrific new authors last year!
ReplyDeleteWendy, I always do :)
DeleteSo Not My Thing looks really fun!
ReplyDeleteBree, it was. I listened to it on audio and loved it!
DeleteWow, you found some good ones! Becky Wade, Amanda Wen, and Roseanna
ReplyDeleteM. White are all favorites. I really need to read The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip—I've only heard the most excellent things about it!
Erin, you really do! You will love it!!
DeleteGet Your Life Back makes me miss summer!
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Astilbe
Astilbe, I don't quite miss summer yet, another month of snow and I might be singing a different tune, LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI haven't read any of these authors either. Thanks for the head's up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Anne!
DeleteThese are all new to me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Emma!
DeleteMost of these are new to me but I do have the Extraordinary Deaths already on my TBR.....I love finding new authors and this week is certainly adding to my TBR with every visit! Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteTerrie @ Bookshelf Journeys
Terrie, I have started adding more to my TBR as well, LOL!
DeleteSo many awesome books on your list. I'm hoping to The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip soon. :)
ReplyDeleteAshley, I hope you get a chance!!
DeleteMelanie Jacobson's books are super fun! They always make me laugh. I spent some time with Melanie at a writing conference some years ago and she's great. It's been fun following her career. I'm glad you discovered her and all these others.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Susan, that's awesome! I would love to meet her in person!
DeleteAlso read and enjoyed Sara Brunsvold
ReplyDeleteSarita, I hope she comes out with another book soon!
DeleteI haven't read any of these authors :( They all look lovely though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kami!
DeleteI've not read any of these authors, but glad to see you enjoyed their books.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2023/01/24/top-ten-tuesday-404/
Thanks!
DeleteI see some authors I'd like to try from your list. A new author in 2022 I enjoyed, is Lizzie Damilola Blackburn.
ReplyDeleteLucy, I have not heard of her, thanks for sharing!
DeleteI have not read any of these books but I'm glad you liked them! The title of Mr. HOA made me laugh. My father-in-law has been the president of his HOA for decades now and rules with an iron fist :-) He says he's giving it up this year but we'll believe it when we see it. I should send this to my mother-in-law for her birthday next month!
ReplyDeleteJen, LOL, that would be a great gift for your MIL! So funny that your FIL has been the president for so long, this book was a hoot.
Delete55 new authors is so great. I really need to branch out and read more new-to-me authors. I think I only had about 15-20 last year.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, the last few years I have really made an effort to try new authors.
DeleteI haven't even heard of any of these, so they would all be new to me, as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT this week.
Marianne, I only listed my favorites, all were 5-star reads ;)
DeleteI also only listed my favourites, though I don't usually check how I rated them on Goodreads.
DeleteMarianne, that's how I narrowed it down, LOL! It was what was easiest.
DeleteI should think about that next year. Thanks.
Delete55! Congrats on discovering so many new authors. All of these are new to me, so thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteAlways enjoy Becky's novels and I think YEARS ago I did pick up a novel by Siri, but I'm not sure I ever read it. Glad you discovered some new authors in 2022. Hope 2023 brings some more, too! Happy reading and thanks for visiting my website.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rissi!
DeleteI've read a few books by Roseanna M. White and really liked them, and read one or two by Becky Wade too :-) My TTT for this week was here. Playing a little catch-up before the weekend hits ;-)
ReplyDeleteRachel, I understand completely! I was swamped this week.
DeleteIt looks like you found some great books! Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier. I hope you have a great week.
