Top Ten Tuesday-My bookish goals for 2024

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday is my bookish goals for 2024. This is definetely one of the easier topics we will have all year, LOL! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Here are my 2024 Reading Goals:

  1. Read 200 books for the Goodreads Challenge-I set a lower goal last year and surpassed, so might as well start here.

Analyzing my 2023 reading goals and Reading Challenges

At the beginning of the year I listed my 2023 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. As the year progressed, I was really feeling pressure to hit my book challenges, but had lost sight of my reading goals. So, let's see how I did!

September Reading Wrap-Up

Summer is officially over, the trees are starting to change, we have a lot of changes going on over here, especially with the move, which affected my reading for September. It will most likely affect October and November as well, but I will do what I can!!

I ended up reading 14 books and DNF 4 in September. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

Top Ten Tuesday- Just Say No to challenges

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is School Freebie. Since this is my first year in 12 years not homeschooling I don't really want to think about school stuff 😉 so I am going to go a different route. Instead I am going to list 10 reasons why I will most likely not be doing reading challenges next year, with few exceptions.Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

10 Reasons for me NOT to do reading challenges next year:

Happy 1st Blogiversary (late!)

I can't believe how fast a year has gone...and I missed it 😂 I started this blog on May 1, 2021, because I LOVE books and I love talking about books. I was sharing about what I was reading on my family blog, but honestly, my friends and family care more about other things in my life, and not what I am reading 😀

Stacking the Shelves #25, Sunday Post #22, Sunday Salon #17

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? I am supposed to be at the lake with my family and youth group today, but I have another stinkin' viral infection. The doctor said I could go if I wore a mask whole time. Not thanks, that is not fun in this heat.

20 Books of Summer

It's no secret that I have been trying to whittle down my physical TBR shelves, as well as my Goodreads shelf (although I am continually adding to that one 😂).

I put reading A Time to Love off for a long time because I thought it would be more about war than it actually was.

Hello 2022! We hope that you will be good to us. I have a lot of bookish goals and wishes and anticipate a great year of reading!! However, before I get into all that, I would like to THANK YOU for welcoming me into this blogging community. I am thankful for the connections and interactions that I have had.

2022 Literary Escapes Challenge

 Hello fellow bookish friends!

I hope you all are doing well. I am back with yet another post about a book challenge I will be doing in 2022. I think all told, counting Goodreads, I will be doing 7 (which is probably a bit much for a newbie, but THANKFULLY books can be used for more than one challenge, which will be my saving grace!).

Top 20 of 2021 Sign-up Post

I was blog hopping today and came across a sign-up post for one final challenge/meme of 2021 and I thought "why not?" Several of the topics are ones that I wanted to do anyway, so why not join a challenge to encourage/motivate me to get the posts done. Although, I can already tell you I am not sticking to my top 10 new to me authors that I read in 2021. I will be featuring them all 😂

2022 Alphabet Soup-Author Edition Reading Challenge

I recently heard someone say that they "read" the bookshelves at the library. They made it a point to go through each letter of the alphabet and read one book by an author with that letter. After I wrote this post I found who it was, it is Lark over at Lark Writes...on books and life. So, I know where I will be headed if I need help with this Challenge! 😉

Virtual TBR 2022 Reading Challenge

Once again I am signing up for a challenge that will help me with my ever growing to be read list! With 430+ books on my "want to read" shelf on Goodreads I need help! I also need a challenge to help me maintain my focus.

2022 Read your bookshelf challenge

Hello my fellow bookish friends!

Today I am sharing another reading challenge I will be participating in come 2022. This is the third one that I will be doing!

It is the "2022 Read Your Bookshelf Challenge" hosted by Chantel at An Intentional Life. I heard about this one from Chautona Havig (thank you!), and once I checked it out I knew I had to do it.

Mount TBR Reading Challenge

I am looking forward to doing several reading challenges in 2022. The first challenge I signed up for was The Nerdy Bookworm's read 50 books a year challenge. While that should be easy for me I have to follow her prompts. Reading 50 books is easy for me as I typically do 3-4 times that, but following the prompts will be hard.

Reading challenges-50 books a year

Happy Saturday, friends! How are things going in your neck of woods? Things are going well here. It's much cooler than it has been and my husband and I got some much needed work done early this
morning, after dropping our son at work at 6:30 (it should be against the law to be at work that early on a Saturday 😉😂). But, on the plus side, we were productive, LOL!

What should I read?

Hey bookish friends! How is your Sunday going? Mine is going really well. I got up and exercised this morning for the #75hardchallenge I am doing, had a snack, and was still ready and at Church on time 😀 I was feeling quite accomplished, LOL!
