August Reading Wrap Up 2026

August was a blur. It was busy and I can't quite remember most of what I did, LOL. I did a lot of walking, so I finished more audiobooks than I normally would. I feel like I got a lot of reading in this month. So, lets see what I actually did. I finished 24 books, and I had one DNF and one 2-star read. Overall, I was disappointed in quite a few books that I read, which doesn't normally happen. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in reading my review.

Room For Cream

Title: Room For Cream

Series: Maya Davis #4

Author: Erynn Mangum

Source: Kindle Unlimited

My Review:

I am not going to lie, I was sad when I started this book and realized it was 10 YEARS later! And that the perspective was now from Presley's point of view, not Maya's as in the first three books in the series.

Cool Beans

Title: Cool Beans

Series: Maya Davis #1

Author: Erynn Mangum

Source: Own

My Review:

Okay, I loved this book. Maya Davis is quirky and fun. She tells the truth with no filter. I love that she writes everything down on sticky notes. And, of course, her caffeine addiction amused me. Her friendship with Jack is fun and flirty (although she doesn't recognize that it is flirty).

TTT-Book Series catchup

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBook Series I Want to Catch Up On (or series you’d like to start). I have finished 19 series so far this year. It is always a goal to finish some, but I never commit to a certain amount because I don't want to put too much pressure on me, especially since I am a mood reader. And, as a mood reader, it is hard for me to narrow down which series I want to finish (I currently have 48 series started that I do want to finish (some series have been DNFed)). Of course, part of the problem is that some of the books in the series have yet to be written, making it hard to complete them. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Books that are easy to escape into

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books That Provide a Much-Needed Escape (bonus points if you tell us why!). I am of the mindset that ALL books (at least fiction) provide an escape, so I am tweaking the topic just a little bit to books I recently loved escaping into. In order to make the list, the books must have received 5-stars from me. And, since I have read a TON of romcoms recently...hopefully there is a little bit of variety in the list😂.  Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Debut Novels I Enjoyed (A debut novel is an author’s first published book. June 2024 Reading Wrap Up

June was a crazy, busy month that felt like about 600 years. I feel like I did a fair amount of reading, but I also felt like it was taking me forever to finish each book. So let's see what it actually looks like 😂. I read 15 books and DNF'd one. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

May 2024 Reading Wrap Up

May was a crazy, busy month with two trips. I feel like I did more reading toward the end of the month. So let's see what it actually looks like 😂. I finished 16 books and apparently it was RomCom/Contemporary fiction month, LOL! Usually I have more of a mixed bag of genres. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Top Ten Tuesday-10 physical books on my shelves I want to read soonish

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Unread Books on My Shelves I Want to Read Soon (Bonus points if you tell us how long it’s been sitting on your shelf waiting for you.) Well, I am going for extra, extra bonus points by telling you I currently have 215 physical fiction books sitting on my shelves waiting to be read. Obviously, this is not counting my nonfiction books, books I might want to read of my family members, or the books on my Kindle 😬. I still want to read them all, but I will start with the 10 I want to read sooner rather than later. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Books I own that I want to read sooner rather than later (and how long they have been on my shelf):
