Top Ten Tuesday- Binge-worthy new authors from 2024

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2024. I read 77 new-to-me-authors last year, so I will try to narrow it down to 10! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday: Binge-worthy new-to-me authors from 2024:

Miss Match by Erynn Mangum is the first of the Lauren Holbrook series, I read the first 3 in the series (I owned them and didn't know until just now there are two more). I also have 3 more of her books on my physical shelves I need to read.

I binged six of the Witsec Town series by Lisa Phillips (Sanctuary Lost is book 1). I also got to meet her in November, where I bought another one of her books. She has a spin off series from this one as well that I want to read

Juliette and the Monday Mandates is the first book of the Gustafson Girls series by Becky Doughty. I read all four books in the series. It's about four sisters doing life together, experiencing tragedy, more women's fiction than anything else.

The Unlikely Yarn of the Dragon Lady was Sharon J. Mondragón's debut novel. She has since released another book, which I own and plan to read soonish, and has another one coming out next month!
Love on Camera is Dana LeCheminant's first book in the Wonder Boy's series. I loved this series, it is so funny! Other than these four books, I have not read more by her yet.

The Love Audit is the first book in the Sweet Peach series by Annah Conwell. This is yet another series I binged and loved last year. I read 7 of her books last year and plan to read more this year!
Levi Bailey Has Butterflies is the first book in the Bailey Brothers series by Jen Atkinson. I read all three books in this series and the fourth one is finally coming out soon!!!! I read 6 books by her last year and plan to read more this year.
The Color of Home is Kit Tosello's debut novel and it was fabulous! I look forward to seeing more from her.
The Burning of Rosemont Abbey by Naomi Stephens is her debut novel and it was also fabulous! I think she has another book releasing later in the year.
I absolutely adored Waiting for Gilbert by Tasha Hackett. I hope she writes more contemporary romance stories! I need to check out her 2 historical fiction, but this one was one of my top reads for 2024.

I did it! I managed to stay at ten by not including nonfiction. What new authors did you read in 2024 that are binge-worthy?!

  2. It's hard to narrow your list down to just ten when you've read so many new authors! Dana LeCheminant, Jen Atkinson, and Annah Conwell were new favorite authors to me last year, too. And I think it was all because of you! :D

  3. Mondragon! Are you going to be reading Grandma Ruth Doesn't Go to Funerals? I didn't know about The Unlikely Yarn of the Dragon Lady. I'll have to read that one. And you and I like a lot of the same authors and types of books, so I'll probably check out everything on your list.

  6. I haven't read any of these authors. I am busy right now updating my list of reviewed books and it is painfully obvious to me that I don't often read the same author over and over. There are just a few authors I make sure to read everything they publish based on my previous reading experiences, but not many. So, like you, every year is a long list of new authors.

    1. Carla, I enjoy her writing, it is good, not romance, more women's fiction.

  9. Naomi Stephens is on my list today too! I loved THE BURNING OF ROSEMONT ABBEY. I read somewhere (her website maybe?) that Stephens will be publishing more historical mysteries in the near future. Yay!

    Happy TTT!
