My review:

The Hunted Heir is Jayna Breigh's debut novel, however, Breigh writes like a seasoned novelist.

I have not read a romantic legal drama before, do others exist? I was drawn in by the title and cover before I realized it was a legal drama, otherwise I might have passed. Thankfully, there is not a lot of legalese, and everything makes sense.

Nona and DeMarcus have a unique relationship. Their first meeting doesn't go smoothly and I found it fascinating that the author chose for them to meet in a place they do not go to often. But, it does set the tone for the book.

The story is told from alternating points of view. I did not like Zeke's perspective, but we are not supposed to. I enjoyed seeing Nona and DeMarcus' perspectives, and their interactions with their family. Everyone needs a G'Mama, I adored her as did all the characters.

There are many different facets to this story. For the most part, they are wrapped up seamlessly. There was one character I felt needed more of an explanation toward the end that wasn't given.

I recommend reading The Hunted Heir if you enjoy characters with real problems, witty dialogue, character growth, found family, a realistic mystery and conclusion, ADHD rep, with a side of romance.
