It is always a goal to finish some, but I never commit to a certain amount because I don't want to put too much pressure on me, especially since I am a mood reader. And, as a mood reader, it is hard for me to narrow down which series I want to finish (I currently have 48 series started that I do want to finish (some series have been DNFed)). Of course, part of the problem is that some of the books in the series have yet to be written, making it hard to complete them. TTT-Priority books for 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). Analyzing my 2025 Reading Goals and Stats

At the beginning of the year I listed my 2025 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. This year I started having to let things go, which isn't easy for me, but there was already so much stress, I didn't need it from my fun hobby.

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? We hiked again last weekend, and my son started college on Monday, after taking 3 years off of school and just working. It was another busy week and Thursday I noticed the toddler I nanny was getting sick, so yesterday (Friday), my boss ended up giving me the day off, as the baby and her husband was sick! I feel like I am coming down with something, please pray I don't get sick, or it goes away quickly, as we are going to TN next weekend for a sibling reunion so my mom can see us all together again before she passes (terminal cancer, she may have a year or two, but wants to travel now, while she still feels up to it). It has been 13 years since we were all together, and one of my nephews wasn't even born then. Today we are planning to do another hike, and my son is off so he can join us! Other than that and Church tonight, I plan to read, blog, and relax this weekend.

My Review:

Enchanting the Heiress is the third and final book in the Hearts on the Heath series. It can be read as a standalone novel, but I recommend reading the first two books, or at least the second, as Jonas and Harriet are first introduced in those books. It will give you a broader understanding of their character and interactions with their friends.

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? I did a lot of relaxing last weekend, and walking (almost 6 miles), so I did not get any packing done, oops. But, I did get some done on Tuesday. On Wednesday the contract on our house fell through, so it is back on the market again. We had two showings last night (Friday), and we will see what the weekend brings. While our house was being shown my husband and I went to Barnes and Noble 😁. On my agenda this weekend is some packing, my daughter is coming home to spend the night this afternoon, and will leave first thing tomorrow, more relaxing, hopefully some walking...

My Review:

Winning the Gentleman is the second book in the Hearts on the Heath series. While it could be read as a stand-alone novel, I recommend reading Vying for the Viscount first, as that is where we are first introduced to Aaron Whitworth (our mmc).

July reading wrap up 2025

I feel like I spend July in England since I binged so many of the Emma M. Lion journals 😂😂. While I did a lot of things in July, I still managed to read quite a bit as well. I read 17 books and DNF'd one. And, until I put this post together, I had not realized how many 5-star reads I had this month! My Review:

I don't know why I waited so long to read Vying for the Viscount. I have enjoyed every Kristi Ann Hunter book I have read, and this is no exception. Anne Marie Giedon does a fantastic job with the narration.
