Stacking the Shelves #152, Sunday Post #149, Sunday Salon #143

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? We got more snow, which canceled a few of our classes, and my book club that was supposed to meet Thursday evening. I am feeling a bit under the weather, a respiratory thing, I think. I have another big book haul this week, but mostly library and review books. I plan to relax and do very little this weekend, what about you?!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

  1. My friend in Galveston has had some kind of awful respiratory thing all week---not the flu, not Covid. Hope that's not what you have, Cindy!

I hope you are able to rest and enjoy your weekend!

    1. Harvee, I mostly place holds, run in, browse real quick, and then head back out. My local library doesn't carry most of what I want to read, so I have them transferred in.

  5. Lost of books this week! We got a lot of snow last night and today, so we'll be staying inside where it's nice and warm. Hope you feel better soon!

  6. I am very jealous of the snow. We've had none except for a small trace amount that melted immediately. I am afraid we won't have snowy winters anymore here in Omaha, just the bitterly cold winds. It makes me so sad, I love snow.

  7. We are in Florida and projected to get snow. It's going to be a cold week everywhere! I liked the book Dear Mrs. Bird. Hope you get to feeling better.

    1. Thanks Joy, I can't remember where I heard about it, but it's been on my TBR for about 3 years, I decided I needed to give it a try.

  11. Get well soon.

Interesting looking books. A shame about the DNFs and not so great books. I am going to try and cut down on books this year to try and get my TBR read. It's not going well so far!

    1. Emily, it's still early in the year, plenty of room for improvement. I have started off stronger than I ever have, so I hope I don't piddle out in the middle of the year!

    1. Thanks Erin, yes, so much going around over here as well. I have a sore throat and stuff, but I could also feel worse, so I won't complain. I hope/plan to stay in during the next few days of extreme weather, I don't want to tip whatever it is to worse! Have a great week!

  23. I hope you feel better soon, Cindy. I had a respiratory thing just after Christmas and it hung on for a couple of weeks. Coughing, sinus headache, runny nose. Took Tylenol for cold and sinus for the symptoms and am good now. I hope you feel better soon. Enjoy your new additions to your shelf.
