Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books on My Spring 2026 To-Read List. This is always fun and I have a gazillion books I want to read. Just and FYI, I am struggling and in a weird head space. My mom is not doing well, and is officially in hospice. I am grieving (anticipatory grief), and it is hard for me to focus and keep up with things. If you notice slack over the next few weeks (or past few weeks), this is why. Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? Time change made the week seem so long, as did the crazy weather. I loved the sunshine when we had it, but wasn't thrilled to see snow flurries as well. I am feeling called to read more of my own books, so with the exception of two of the library books I had out, I took them all back this week. I am in a weird head space, so also doing some rereading to help with stress. Not much going on this weekend, just normal weekend stuff (picking up groceries, laundry, church). I don't think the weather is going to be warm enough to be outside.

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Genre Freebie. I decided to go with book preorders. I have never done a post like this before, probably because I rarely do preorders (money has always been tight). But, this year, there are a handful of books (7!) I can't wait to get my hands on, so I decided to do preorders. I love being able to support authors in this way, and trust me, I understand not everyone can. Cross Words by Chautona Havig releases 3/9/26 on Kindle, but it available in paperback now. My copy is supposed to arrive today. This is part of her Book Strings series, which I have loved.

Top Ten Tuesday-2024 Releases I was excited about but...

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: 2024 Releases I Was Excited to Read but Still Haven’t Gotten To (will you be prioritizing these this year?) This should be interesting. Rendezvous update 2

So, part two of the JustRead Rendezvous 2024 reader event. You can read part one here. After lunch was another reader panel. Kimberley Woodhouse was the moderator of this one. Each author had to pick one of their characters to be and only answer as that character. It was hilarious. Several authors on the panel were suspense writers, and a couple were fantasy. Sara Ella was one of the authors and I loved her answers. She was in character as Alice in Wonderland from her book The Wonderland Trials. While I had read several authors books who were on the different panels throughout the day, hearing all the authors talk and interact made me want to read their books, even though several are genres I don't read.

August Reading Wrap-Up

August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.

I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? Today we moved my daughter back to college. It was SO much easier than in previous years because we are so much closer! We went there and back in the same day, plus she is only an hour and a half away, she didn't have to take as much stuff! It was a long week. I plan to read, blog, go to Church, and rest for the remainder of the weekend. It's going to be odd trying to get into a new routine again.

I was not sure if Meri and I were going to get along when the first words out of her mouth was that she hated My Best Friend's Wedding!!! However, I quickly forgave her as she explains why she hates it and how she and Julia Roberts are alike.
