June Reading Wrap Up 2026

June was a blur. It was busy and I can't quite remember most of what I did, LOL.  I know I did some reading, so let's see how the month went. I finished 18 books, and I had one DNF. My reading is still less than normal for this time of the year. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in reading my review.

TTT-Most anticipated releases through October

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isMost Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2026 . I have been so focused on reading the books I own, or are already on my TBR, that I haven't been following new releases as closely as I normally would. So, here are the few that I am super excited about. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

TTT-summer of possibilities 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. I have missed the last several weeks and I am glad to be back today!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBooks on My Summer 2026 To-Read List. This one will be easy as there are SO many books that I want to read. The hard part will be narrowing it down to 10. Since I am still trying to focus on what I own, most some of these will be books I already have. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Final Approach

Title: Final Approach

Series: Lake City Heroes #4

Author: Lynette Eason

Source: Own

My Review:

Target Acquired is the fourth book in the Lake City Heroes series, but can be read as a stand-alone novel. However, it follows a friend group and has aspects of found family, so I would recommend reading them in order.

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing much better than I have been, and even graduated from PT, earlier than anticipated, praise God! Last weekend, my husband I visited Shipshewana, Indiana. We enjoyed our time in Amish country, despite the stresses that creeped in.

TTT-Priority books for 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). So, here are 10 books that are top priority to be read before the end of the year. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

TTT-2026 Spring Pile of possibilities

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBooks on My Spring 2026 To-Read List. This is always fun and I have a gazillion books I want to read. Just and FYI, I am struggling and in a weird head space. My mom is not doing well, and is officially in hospice. I am grieving (anticipatory grief), and it is hard for me to focus and keep up with things. If you notice slack over the next few weeks (or past few weeks), this is why. I will be taking steps back and not always participating in all the things, however, I do plan to keep reading! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

TTT-the typography has it

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBook Covers Featuring Cool/Pretty/Unique/etc. Typography (Typography is the art of arranging letters so they look visually appealing and more interesting than, for example, the body text of this blog post you’re reading now. I did a similar post to this a few years ago, so if you need inspiration on what I’m talking about click here to have a look.) Well, I think the last time this topic came up, I skipped it, so let's see what I can come up with today. I feel like, overall, authors are doing more with their fonts/styles than they used to, and there doesn't seem to be a standard font anymore. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Winter 25/26 pile of possibilities

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBooks On My Winter 2025-2026 to-Read List. I have not thought about this at all, so let's see what our possibilities are 😂. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-No book slump here

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isBooks Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump (Which books would you recommend to someone (it’s me, I’m someone) dealing with the dreaded book slump? No book is grabbing their attention or making them excited to sit down and read and they are suffering for it.) I can't guarantee that these books would get everyone out of a book slump, but these are books that would get me out of a book slump. I was originally going to just go with romcoms, but I decided to be a bit more versatile. The thing they all have in common: the stories stuck with me. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Stacking the Shelves #179 Sunday Post #176 Sunday Salon #170

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? I am still dealing with my health issue, I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I am going to pass out, or almost passing out. I was hoping it would be completely resolved by now, but it's not. It was another busy week, I think they will be, now that I am back to working 3 days a week. This weekend's agenda is to pack some (no we don't have a move day or new house yet), blog, read, and relax. I love not having any solid plans for the weekend.

Top Ten Tuesday-Anticipated releases for second half of 2025

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2025. Yay, thank you Jana, for an easy topic this week 😁. I keep a list on Goodreads for 2025 book releases, so this should be fairly easy. The hard part will be narrowing it down, (and I ended up adding more to my list, LOL). Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-I want to read them all

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Ways in Which My Blogging/Review Style Has Changed Over Time (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books). My answer: my font has gotten larger, and I occasionally do more of a list type review, other than that, my review style has not changed, so it would be pretty boring and impossible to come up with 10 ways my blogging style has changed. Instead, I am going to share ALL the books I am currently wanting to read, and either have downloaded to my kindle, have out from the library,  or own. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-I want to read them all right now! (just the tip of the iceberg, I have more I want to read right now 😂)

I checked The Goodbye Bride by Denise Hunter out from the library and then realized I have book #3 Just a Kiss on my physical shelf, so I want to read them both to finish this series.

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? It was another long week, with lots of extra appointments. The best thing about this week is that my husband and I went to the Cain concert on Wednesday night and we had a blast. I hope to get a post up about it soonish. We looked at a house yesterday, and the only good thing about it is that it was near a library we had not been into yet, so I decided to check it out 😂. Happy Mother's Day to those of you who are moms. My kiddos are working/gone today, so it will just be me and my husband hanging out, sorting through things today.

Top Ten Tuesday-2024 Releases I was excited about but...

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: 2024 Releases I Was Excited to Read but Still Haven’t Gotten To (will you be prioritizing these this year?) This should be interesting. I don't remember release years but Goodreads should be able to help a girl out. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

2024 New Releases I OWN that I was excited to read and still haven't (in my defense, your honor, I got several of these in Nov/Dec):
