So, I see we are having confessional today, LOL! I am not sure I really want to confess, but I will because I know I am not alone!! The hardest part is going to be narrowing it down to ten. I will also say, some were gifted, some were won, and some I did actually buy. Double Take by Lynette Eason is the first book in her newest series, Lake City Heroes. I am already anticipating book two!

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I am doing pretty good. I am finally finished with my nanny position, which means I am finished working 6 days a week, YAY! (at least with 2 jobs, LOL). Today, I am working until about 12:30, having a quick lunch, then heading over to Mount Vernon, OH for my daughter's final Spring Concert, all the feels. It will be a very long day. Tomorrow on the agenda, is church and relaxing, recharging!

Analyzing my 2023 reading goals and Reading Challenges

At the beginning of the year I listed my 2023 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. As the year progressed, I was really feeling pressure to hit my book challenges, but had lost sight of my reading goals. So, let's see how I did!

October Reading Wrap Up 2023

On the personal side, October was a hard month with my son's surgery and ongoing recovery, and having had (and still have) bronchitis for the last two weeks. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 22 books and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:

August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.

I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

Countdown is a fantastic conclusion to the Extreme Measures series by Lynette Eason. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the whole series.

My Review:

Critical Threat is the third in the Extreme Measures series. While it could be read as a stand-alone novel, the series follows four friends and would be best to be read in order.

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I am doing good. Yesterday I was in the car all day, I just got home from visiting my sister in Tennessee. I loved spending time with my sister and brother, and their families. I got to spend a lot of time in the pool this past week, so I finally feel like I had summer 😃 Today, I am catching up and relaxing.
