My Review:

Target Acquired is the fourth book in the Lake City Heroes series, but can be read as a stand-alone novel. However, it follows a friend group and has aspects of found family, so I would recommend reading them in order.

Wow, what a beginning! It was not the way Kristine and her friends imagined beginning their vacation. Then, instead of having a vacation, they all have to go back to work investigating why the hijacker tried to take over their plane.

I loved this series and getting to know all the members of this found family friend group. Because of her job as an air marshal, we saw Kristine sporadically throughout the series. However, her story was worth the wait. I enjoyed her and Andrew's friendship to more. There was nothing forced. They both had baggage they needed to work through before taking their relationship further.

There are several surprises throughout the story, but I did see some of it coming. The stakes are high, and the suspense is top-notch. It is hard to believe that one person could be so evil, but it id not surprising when you start connecting all the dots. I highly recommend this whole series.
