TTT-Priority books for 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). December Reading Wrap Up 2025

November and December had me moving (literally), so I did not do a November reading wrap up. However, I did read 25 books (didn't know it was that many until just now, (4 were children's books) DNF'd 2. It looks like I had a record number of 5 star reads as well: 11!! Stacking the Shelves #194 Sunday Post #191 Sunday Salon #185

Hey my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? It was another long week around here. We had a showing on Saturday, but on Sunday our house went fully off market, and by Wednesday all the hurdles had been tackled, so our house is officially sold with the closing date 12/16, and we have until 1/4/26 to leave our house. We have looked at 8 houses this week, and will look at several more today. Between all that I got a haircut, spent 2 hours in the gym, started packing, and worked three days. I am wiped out. I will not be quite as active on here over the next month as we pack up our house and try to find a new one. What are your plans for the weekend? Also, happy Thanksgiving week!

Christmas Reading Challenges 2025

I know, I know, I said I was tired of challenges, and I am, BUT, hear me out. I am tired of the ones I am already working on, I'm not tired of Christmas yet 😂. I am going to read Christmas books anyway, I might as well support some fellow bloggers 😁. So, I am going to try to finish up my other challenges this month, so that I can clear the deck to read as many Christmas books as my heart desires. This year has been super hard and I am looking forward to the hope/happy feels that Christmas reads generally bring.

Hey bookish friends! These past couple of weeks have been busy. This one had quite a bit of hard and stressful things. I have no idea what we are doing today,
possibly a hike, but probably just catching up on chores. Tomorrow will be church and a whole lot of relaxing. Are you doing anything fun this weekend?

Seriously at a loss, thought about it for 2 days, and I have nothing. We don't watch a lot of TV or movies. So, I am going to take a page out of Pam's book (Read!Create!Bake!) and do titles that start with a letter, I was going to go with C because I can see 3 books on my TBR cart at a quick glance that start with C, but better go with with A since it's my first time, LOL! December Reading Wrap Up 2023

December passed in a blur of rental cars, work, Christmas, travel, and finally some down time!! I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 17 books and I did have a few 5-star reads! Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

My Review:

I enjoy Cynthia Ruchti's books. They are well-written and tug on the heartstrings. I love the cover of All My Belongings and appreciate that it is a stand-alone novel.

I love how Cynthia Ruchti's books are stand-alone novels. Miles From Where We Started lives up to its title.
