Top Ten Tuesday-Whatever the Weather reads

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books with Weather Events in the Title/on the Cover (I’m picturing a list of titles with weather-related words in them like storm, rain, blizzard, flood, lightning, hail, snow, wind, etc. OR covers with lightning/storms in the picture.) I have not read the books pictured here, I either own them on Kindle, or on my physical shelves, or I just want to read them. It was HARD for me to find these, I guess I don't read a lot of weather books! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Recent additions to my TBR

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Ten Most Recent Books I Did Not Finish. I would not normally put my DNF books on my blog, so I am going to skip this topic. Instead I will do the last ten books I added to my "Want to read" list on Goodreads. Most of them are books that haven't been released yet. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

6 Degrees of Separation -Feb. 2023 Trust

#6degrees of Separation is hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavouriteandbest on the first Saturday of each month. The gist is that everyone starts with the same book, then finds another book that relates to it somehow, then one that relates to the second, until you’ve got a chain of six additional books. It’s a twist on the theory that every person on earth can somehow be connected to any other person in six or fewer steps, and provides an opportunity to talk about random books we love (or don’t).

Top Ten Tuesday-Favorite books of 2022

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday is our favorite books from 2022. Not sure how I am supposed to narrow it down to 10, but will give it my best shot 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Well, this should be easy since I marked 56 of the books I read this year as favorites 😂😂 Here are my top 10ish (in no particular order):

November Reading Wrap-up

I am afraid to do this post, LOL. I have no idea how many books I actually read in November and I don't really want to see how far from my reading challenge goals I am. I have already started thinking about my goals for next year, but maybe I need to focus on completing this year first!

I finished 8 books in November and DNF 1. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

My review:

Hi. It's me again, Cindy. Coming to you with a book that I have no idea how to review.

I have found that Katie Powner's books have emotional depth, the "wow" factor, and they tend to stick with you long after you read them. I loved Where the Blue Sky Begins

Stacking the Shelves #47, Sunday Post #44, Sunday Salon #38

Hey bookish friends! What are you up to this weekend? We are packing the Uhaul today. I have worn myself out packing everything up so I am glad we are to this stage. Hopefully we will get it all loaded today, finish a few odds & ends on Monday and close on the house Tuesday. I will be a little slower getting to your blogs this week. Have a great weekend!

Can't Wait Wednesday-Where the Blue Sky Begins

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Where the Blue Sky Begins by Katie Powner. I read A Flicker of Light by her last year and it blew me out of the water, so I can't wait to read this one!!! It comes out October 11, 2022.

Top Ten Tuesday-Physical books I own that give off fall vibes

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Favorite Bookstores OR Bookstores I’d Love to Visit. I LOVE bookstores, so if I come across one I am going to go in. I am not feeling the topic of my favorite bookstores (any used bookstore!) or bookstores I'd love to visit. Today I going to do books on my physical shelves that give me fall vibes. They are also books I have not read yet.  Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Ten books I still need to read on my physical shelves that give off fall vibes:

Best of the Best 2021

Today I am participating in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads. Today's topic is the best of the best books. I am excited to share my favorite reads of 2021. They were not necessarily released in 2021, I just read them in 2021. As of today I have finished 251 books and it will be difficult to narrow it down to just ten, so I am going to cheat just a little bit and do a couple of different categories. The books will not be in any particular order.

Top Ten Tuesday-New Authors

Happy Tuesday, friends! The theme for today's top ten Tuesday is if you like this then I recommend that. This was another hard one for me to wrap my head around, I just don't have the mental capacity for it. So, I decided to do a twist on it. So far this year I have read 132 new to me authors! I can barely wrap my head around that amount, but I was working on a reading challenge and it introduced me to new authors. So, I am going to try to narrow that down to the top 10 that I loved and can't wait to read more from/catch up on their backlist. Hopefully this will introduce you to a new author as well. Top Ten Tuesday-Books that surprised me

Happy Tuesday, friends! The theme for today's top ten Tuesday is books I would hand to someone who claims to not like reading. This is difficult for me to do because I feel like you really have to know someone and their interests in order to find a book that will be a good fit for them. Plus, the mood they are in as well will affect their enjoyment of a book. So, I decided to tweak this a bit and do 10 books that surprised me-meaning that I enjoyed more than I thought I would (actually have 11 and could have kept going 😉). To find out what our other bookish friends are doing for Top Ten Tuesday check out That Artsy Reader Girl.

I highly recommend listening to this one on audio for your first reading, otherwise you might miss some of the sarcasm and allegory. This is NOT a genre I would normally read from, but it was fabulous!
