Meredith is hard to relate to at the beginning of the story. I am not that far from fifty-two, and I can't imagine moving into a senior living trailer park as a means to settle down.

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? We enjoyed our visit to NC last weekend, it was nice to see my in-laws. There were some stressors (who is surprised?), but overall it was good.

I tried to do this but I don't read many books with Nationalities in the title. I found three. So, instead, I am going to go a different route.  I am going to continue with the alphabet and I am up to "F." Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am doing okay.  Last Saturday our dryer went out and my MIL had a medical emergency and we almost lost her. It was a rough start to the week, but she is now home, doing better, our dryer is fixed, and my FIL finished his radiation treatments on Friday. I am feeling so incredibly thankful. Today, my husband and I are at an event called The Fest, we are only there for the concerts, we are not really festival people, LOL. My favorite band is on at 6PM and I am hoping the rain that we are supposed to get holds off. What are your plans for the weekend?

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was fairly uneventful, busy and tiring. We had some nice mornings, so I was able to get out and walk before work. This weekend we are cleaning/doing some errands, then we hope to go for a long walk/hike on Sunday.

6 Degrees of Separation -Feb. 2023 Trust

#6degrees of Separation is hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavouriteandbest on the first Saturday of each month. The gist is that everyone starts with the same book, then finds another book that relates to it somehow, then one that relates to the second, until you’ve got a chain of six additional books. It’s a twist on the theory that every person on earth can somehow be connected to any other person in six or fewer steps, and provides an opportunity to talk about random books we love (or don’t).

November Reading Wrap-up

I am afraid to do this post, LOL. I have no idea how many books I actually read in November and I don't really want to see how far from my reading challenge goals I am. I have already started thinking about my goals for next year, but maybe I need to focus on completing this year first!

Hi. It's me again, Cindy. Coming to you with a book that I have no idea how to review. 

I have found that Katie Powner's books have emotional depth, the "wow" factor, and they tend to stick with you long after you read them. I loved Where the Blue Sky Begins.

Hey bookish friends! What are you up to this weekend? We are packing the Uhaul today. I have worn myself out packing everything up so I am glad we are to this stage. Hopefully we will get it all loaded today, finish a few odds & ends on Monday and close on the house Tuesday. I will be a little slower getting to your blogs this week. Have a great weekend!

Can't Wait Wednesday-Where the Blue Sky Begins

Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Where the Blue Sky Begins by Katie Powner. I read A Flicker of Light by her last year and it blew me out of the water, so I can't wait to read this one!!! It comes out October 11, 2022.
