TTT-Priority books for 2026

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Freebie! I wasn't sure if I would be able to come up with a topic, but then I decided to talk about one of my reading goals for the year. So, I plan to read at least 50 of my owned books this year. As a secondary goal, I wanted to get my unread fiction books under 100. Well, with the few pre-orders I ordered this year (I think close to 10 total), and having won a few books...it has made the goal a little harder. So, in addition to reading from my own shelves, I am trying to read the pre-orders then they come in as well. (Spoiler alert, I am behind, LOL). So, here are 10 books that are top priority to be read before the end of the year. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-2026 Top priority books to read

The Sassy Belles by Beth Albright-we won't talk about how many times I have shared this one, LOL, but this is the year, I feel it in my bones, LOL! His Promise by Shelley Shepard Gray has been on my TBR forever too, but for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me.

They Almost Always come Home by Cynthia Ruchti and The Sowing Season by Katie Powner (I have shared this one quite a bit too, shh!)

Fall Out by Carrie Stuart Parks and Targeted by Lynette Eason (another one I have shared several times...are you sensing a pattern?!)

Frankly, My Dear Clara by Kristi Ann Hunter and Love in the Stacks by Julie Milo

The Bell Tolls at Traeger Hall by Jaime Jo Wright and Not What We Pictured by Becca Kinzer

The good news is that we are not quite halfway through the year, so I have time to read these and the other books I need for this this goal! I also haven't been to the library for fiction books in over a month (so I will focus on my own). What is a book you are hoping to read before the end of the year?

What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.
