Sign Me Up

Title: Sign Me Up

Series: Kissing a Kent Brother #1

Author: Dulcie Dameron

Source: Library

My Review:

So, I had to go back and read the first book in the Kissing a Kent Brother series, since I had already read the second one. They are better read in order, but can be read as stand alone novels. I am looking forward to reading the third book when it comes out.

Spoke Too Soon

Title: Spoke Too Soon

Series: Kissing a Kent Brother #2

Author: Dulcie Dameron

Source: Library

My Review:

I did know that Spoke Too Soon was part of a series when I started reading it. It is the second book in the Kissing a Kent Brother series, but they don't necessarily need to be read in order, although our two main characters meet at the end of the first book.

Stacking the Shelves #198 Sunday Post #195 Sunday Salon #189

Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I was sick last weekend, so I tried to rest and relax. On Monday, I started having tingling in the left side of my face, long story short, I spent most of Monday and Tuesday in the hospital. They thought I was having a stroke, thankfully I was not. I had a CAT scan, MRI, and EEG. The CAT scan showed a tiny aneurysm, which is what earned me the hospital stay. I have some follow-up tests and more bloodwork in my near future, but so far, so good. I didn't get much sleep, so I am completely wiped out. On the bright side, I got a lot of reading in!! I am hoping to catch up on some of that lost sleep, and get the things done around the house that I wasn't able to do last weekend. What are your plans for this weekend?

Stacking the Shelves #197 Sunday Post #194 Sunday Salon #188

Happy New Year my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? It has been weeks since I have had time to do these weekend posts, I have missed catching up with you all. We moved into our rental house on December 19th, celebrated Christmas at home, then went to TN for 5 days, and I also took a solo trip to Indianapolis for 2 days to see my mom, but we are ALMOST completely settled. There are still a few things to do and I am so ready to be done! I am still reading, but ready to have more time for blogging and other stuff too! This weekend is tackling some of the things we haven't had time to finish in the house. I woke up with a temp of 101.6, so I guess this weekend is going to be for rest. What are your plans for this weekend?

Stacking the Shelves #182 Sunday Post #179 Sunday Salon #173

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? We did go for that long walk/hike on Sunday. We went to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I took a ton of pictures, so click on the link if you are interested in that. The only problem, is that after such a big hike on Sunday, I started the week off exhausted, and it just kept going. By Friday afternoon, I was so overtired and done. We do hope to hike again this weekend, but other than that and my daughter coming in for a short visit, we don't have much plans.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books Involving Food (That are Not Cookbooks) (Submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext and Hopewell’s Public Library of Life) I am tweaking the topic just a little bit to books I think involve food (because I have not read these so I don't know for sure). Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Not Since You

Title: Not Since You

Series: Secrets of River Hollow #1

Author: Dulcie Dameron

Publisher: Independently Published

Genre: Christian Fiction, Romcom, Contemporary Fiction

Source: Library

My Review:

Not Since You is the first book in the Secrets of River Hollow series. I recommend reading them in order. This book is about Claudia, the second book is about Claudia's mother, Priscilla. Not Since You is my first introduction to Dulcie Dameron's books, and while I didn't love this story, I will try other books of hers.

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I am exhausted (so what else is new 😂). I hope to do some work this morning, then rest, read, blog, and crochet for the rest of the day and after church tomorrow. Fingers crossed that everything goes according to the plan.
