Top Ten Tuesday-Books You'd be a fool not to read

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books You’d be a Fool Not to Read (Happy April Fool’s Day! In honor of this silly holiday, share the books you think people must read for whatever reason. They could be your favorites, books you deem classics, books that you learned something important from, books you wish you’d read sooner, etc. You could even narrow it down to a specific genre and share the must-reads for that genre. Get creative!) I went back and found the last ten books that I gave five stars to to come up with my list. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Books You'd Be A Fool Not To Read:

The Holly Series by C.C. Warrens remains one of my favorite suspense series! Perfect for those who do not enjoy romance in their stories. Holly has had a difficult life and is hiding from a stalker. My review of Criss Cross.

The Heart's Charge by Karen Witemeyer is perfect for those who enjoy westerns. I do not, but I loved this book and it touched my heart, it was so sweet.

Firefly Diaries and Dragonfly Ashes by C.C. Warrens are phenomenal reads that deal with hard topics. A favorite quote from Firefly Diaries-Every old house had a story, written by the people and events that unfolded within its walls. This house, Noelle suspected, ended on a dark chapter.

The Color of Home by Kit Tosello is a beautiful story about family, finding yourself, healing, and belonging. This book deals with several hard topics: grief, Alzheimer's, incarceration, and job and life pressures BUT it is not a heavy read. (not a romance)

An Overdue Match by Sarah Monzon is a bookish romcom where the main character is dealing with alopecia (autoimmune disease where you lose your hair). It was fantastic and a book I now NEED to own, LOL. First line: Libraries aren't famous for their penal codes, but some literary offenses deserve due punishments.
Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham releases this month. It had everything that I could possibly want in a Contemporary romance, including a Scottish setting! The characters are a fascinating mix of quirky, loving, and annoying. This is another book I need to own 😊.

Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard is more suspense than romance and there were plenty of storms brewing, and not just with the weather! A favorite quote: "Now a stranger held her life in his hands."

Waiting for Gilbert by Tasha Hackett is just the sweetest story!! I absolutely adored it and this is another one that I must have for my keeper shelf!

Even though I do not normally read books with magical elements, I really enjoyed The Serendipity by Emma St. Clair. It is the perfect escapism book (if you enjoy contemporary romance stories).

And, there you have it, 10 books you'd be a fool not to read 😁. Some I own and others that I need to own!

Have you read any of these? Are you planning to read any of these? What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  1. Some Like it Scot is on my TBR shelf and I am looking forward to it. I have read other books by Karen Witemeyer and enjoyed them. The Dragonfly books sound interesting and so does the one by Kit Tosello. There goes my TBR shelf again. Nice list, Cindy.

    1. Haze, if you love romance books with amazing banter, I would get to Emma St. Clair sooner rather than later!

  9. Your posts always look so pretty, Cindy. Since I read a lot of classics and heavier stuff, I hardly ever have such nice covers. So, I always look forward to your lists.
