Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

The Breakup Project by Carolyn Miller free today 1/11/25 |
Bought: 17 books, several have been on my TBR, several are new-to-me authors, and Jane Austen Ruined My Life was bought simply because of the title 😂

$5 bag, all three of us had our books in here, we had around 30-17 were mine 😬 |
Book Mail: None
I finished four books this week, and am currently caught up on the reviews. So far, I have enjoyed all the books I have read, my reading is off to a great year! I did my December Share Four Somethings on my other blog if you are interested in reading it.
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: A Broken Kind of Beautiful by Katie Ganshert
Top Ten Tuesday-Anticipated releases Jan-Jun
Book Review: A Father for her Boys by Danielle Grandinetti
Book Review: The New Loneliness by Cindi McMenamin
Book Review: The Nice Guy Next Door by Haley Zaragoza
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
I do wish the days would go faster. We already had two funerals of family members in January this year, and hope that the rest of the year will be pleasant and smooth.
ReplyDeleteI started a new blog for the new year. Hope you will visit and follow.
Harvee https://harvee44.blogspot.com/
Oh Harvee, I am so sorry to hear that!!! I will visit your new blog :)
DeleteMy deepest condolences! The year 2023 was the same for us - more goodbyes than we thought we could ever say. Hugs to you.
DeleteThat’s really a huge volume of books. I’ve run out of space so I couldn’t do something like that. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Mae, it is a huge volume of books, but I will be clearing out to make space for them, I am also out of room :)
DeleteA $5 bag of books is quite a bargain. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy, it is! Now, not to buy any books for a while!
DeleteOur library has a $5 a bag sale every so often. I've taken so many books to them for the sale. I just called them last week to see when the next one is so I could take more.
ReplyDeleteVicki, I like library sales too, but I rarely find Christian Fiction at them, which is what I mainly read.
DeleteWow! I can't read 4 books in one week...that is impressive :) I do love to buy books and look at them though, lol...I'm sure I'm not alone here with that. Glad you've had lot of new exciting ones to start the year with.
ReplyDeleteShellie, I hope they will eventually get read! I have a goal to read 48 of what I own prior to 2025, but no reason not to read some of these as well ;)
DeleteI can't resist a $5 bag of books. If I don't read them, I'm happy to share them in my Little Free Library. I think I'd start with Jane Austen Ruined My Life. Great title. It's the 250th anniversary of Austen's birth this year, too.
ReplyDeleteGlad your year is off to a good start!
Deb, I couldn't resist and I REALLY miss having a Free Little Library right outside my door! I have two piles of books I need to go share. I am currently reading an ARC, then I need to start my book club book, but hopefully soon :)
DeleteI would not be able to resist $5 for a bag of books either. Your books all look so good. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carla!
DeleteOoo that sale! I love to find good book sales like that. You made out!
ReplyDeleteWe finally have some snow here! We got about four inches and it is snowing again. It took long enough! Lol.
Erin, it has snowed most of the week. It snowed a bit this morning, then the sun came out, and it's supposed to snow again tonight! I think we are experiencing our first *true* Ohioan winter! Glad you got snow :)
DeleteIt snowed here too! A $5 bag sale would be dangerous. My TBR would never recover. :)
ReplyDeleteAj, mine might not. We won't talk about how many unread books I have in this house, cough, cough.
DeleteYou can't pass up a bag sale like that! I would have probably filled two. ;D Hope this week is a little less busy for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark!
DeleteI wouldn't be able to pass up the $5 bag of books. What a great deal! It looks like you got some fantastic books! Happy reading! Hope you have a wonderful week! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley!
DeleteGotta love going to bookstores and getting $5 bags of books!
ReplyDeleteJinjer, yes, you do! It's dangerous though, LOL!
DeleteShoot I don't think I could pass up a $20 bag of books. What a great deal at $5 a bag! It wasn't supposed to snow here this morning but we got a couple of inches. I don't mind it much--especially if I don't have anywhere to go!
ReplyDeleteVictoria, yes, a bag of books, even at $20 would be an incredible deal. I don't mind the snow either, I actually like it (more when I don't have to drive in it).
DeleteWow that’s a huge haul! I hope that you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodie, me too!
DeleteOh, I hate to hear of a bookstore going out of business…but, five dollars a bag? Wow! I would have jumped on that as well! Running out of room – a creative friend of mine uses stacks of books to display her “pretties”. Hmmm….perhaps a small table would work? LOL! We’ve had Southern NM snow, beautiful, doesn’t stick and leaves behind cold weather! Take good care, Patricia
ReplyDeletePatricia, I am happy with culling out the books I have read and will never read again to make space. I realize more and more that my husband and I are "middle" aged, and we need to clean things out so our kids don't have to do it someday.
DeleteI don't think I would be able to pass up the book sale either. What a great haul! It does sound like your reading year is off to a great start and I hope it continues to be one. Enjoy the snow and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks wendy!
DeleteSo many great books. They all look good. I picked up The Breakup Project, too. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteYes, January is on full-steam head mode. That sale was awesome. I am sorry to see another book store going out of business though.
ReplyDeleteKimberly, me too! Especially since all it's proceeds go to promote literacy in the area.
DeleteI like the cover for Where Hope Begins.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thanks Marg, you as well!
DeleteI swear if I blink too fast, the day is gone. Lots to do lately. So many of your new books look good. I love bargain days. Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks Cheryl!
