Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? It was another long week, we spent quite a bit of time getting the house ready for pictures, so we can list it on Friday! Thursday was mine and my husband's 26th wedding anniversary, and between his job and mine, plus book club, we spent exactly no time together 😂. We did however take time to pose for a quick picture, which I will post below. He was getting ready for work and I was in my workout clothes, LOL! On Friday I spent 2 hours in Joann Fabrics, I am going to miss that store (will post a picture of my haul below as well). We will be working on the house more this weekend (garage, blah), but will find time to relax as well.
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:
I finished 4 books this week and caught back up on reviews. Below are the two promised pictures (from the first paragraph). So, to my friends who are reading The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower, I learned at book club this week that there will be between 23-25 journals!!! I am mind blown and here for it! She hopes to have them all finished in the next 10 years. I also added journals 3-8 to my Amazon wishlist, LOL!

What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: First Love, Second Draft by Becca Kinzer
Top Ten Tuesday-I want to read them all
Book Review: The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion Vol 1 & 2 by Beth Brower
Book Review: Tozer: Mystery of the Holy Spirit by A. W. Tozer
Book Review: The Road Before Us by Janine Rosche
I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
It's a busy time for you right now, Cindy. Good luck in getting everything done that you need to do to get your house ready for sale. Happy anniversary! Lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, I appreciate it.
DeleteCongratulations on your wedding anniversary! You sound very busy. Love that the reading is still part of the busy.
ReplyDeleteVal, sometimes reading is my lifeline, LOL! I squeeze it in when I can.
DeleteHappy Anniversary! And good luck getting your house listed. And I'm really going to miss Joann's, too. Where do I go to get fabric now??? Wishing you a good weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark! Did you see my comment about the Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion?! I was blown away!!
Deleteon my shelf/coffee table right now? Susan Meissner's A Map to Paradise and The Underground Library by Jennifer Ryan.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I have a Susan Meissner that I need to read, Nature of Fragile Things, I think that is the title. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHappy Anniversary! I hope the real estate adventure goes well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy!
DeleteCute picture! Happy Anniversary and good luck with all the house stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jinjer!
DeleteHappy Belated Anniversary! My mom did all the crafty things and LOVED Joann Fabrics. I've never been crafty at anything. I made a skirt in 7th grade and when I took it home my mom had to redo it! I did make a pot holder that looked ok when I was in my 30's. At least it didn't fall apart or have to be redone :)
ReplyDeleteVicki, LOL, I think it's the way you are taught, whether you can sew or not. I believe everyone can ;)
DeleteIt was a required class to take in Jr. High at the school I attended or I wouldn't have even attempted making it. I was in the Girl Scouts, Drill Team, and Choir and I wasn't really interested in sewing.
DeleteVicki, it was an optional class for us, but we could only take it in 9th and 10th grade, and I didn't have room in my schedule until 12th, so I missed it. I was super disappointed because I was interested in it.
DeleteHappy anniversary! I received a preorder of My Friends, Fredrik Backman's new book, this week and I'm so excited to read it! Forcing myself to finish my library books first though lol.
ReplyDeleteKaris, LOL! I totally understand that!!
DeleteHappy Anniversary - what a lovely picture of both of you. You must be up to your eyes just now. And remember, if anyone raises their brows at your stress levels - moving house is regarded as the next most stressful life event next to bereavement and divorce... I hope the week goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! We do have a lot on our plate right now.
DeleteAw, happy anniversary! And good luck with the moving, I'm in the middle of it too (looking for a new place, to start with, but we also got a storage unit to help us start sorting and getting rid of stuff). Still, looks like you two are keeping on smiling!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky! Good luck to you all as well.
DeleteHappy Anniversary! What a lovely photo of the two of you. I hope you home sells quickly Cindy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jodie!
DeleteGood luck with your listing! I hope you get a quick sale at an amazing price!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thanks Marg!
