Top Ten Tuesday-Top books read for the first quarter of 2024

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday Characters I’d Like to go on Vacation With (Pretend you’re going on vacation and can bring 10 of your closest friends with you. Pick your vacation spot and tell us who you’d like to bring! Bonus point if you tell us why. Or maybe you like the idea of traveling in small groups, so plan 10 trips or 5 trips!)  I don't have the best memory for remembering characters and honestly wouldn't want to go on vacation with most of them. Therefore, it will be a week where I go off topic again. Today, I will be sharing my Top books read for the first quarter of 2024. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten 9 (out of 72) books read for the first quarter of 2024 (in no particular order, click on book cover if you would like to see my review)

February 2024 Reading Wrap-Up

February passed in a blur of work. I had some reading duds, but overall I had a decent reading month. I read 25 books and DNF'd two. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

The Cost of Control

Title: The Cost of Control Why We Crave It, The Anxiety it Gives Us, and the Real Power God Promises

Author: Sharon Hodde Miller

Publisher: Baker Books

Genre: Christian Nonfiction, Christian Living

Source: Library/Own

My Review:

The Cost of Control Why We Crave It, The Anxiety it Gives Us, and the Real Power God Promises is the first book I have read by Sharon Hodde Miller, but it won't be the last. I checked it out of the library, but by the end of the second chapter it was one I knew I needed to own.

Stacking the Shelves #103, Sunday Post #100, Sunday Salon #94

Hey bookish friends! This was a lighter week for me as I didn't have to work at my nanny job. But, we added more students to our Friday night sewing classes (yay!), so there was extra work for that. I am totally wiped out today. My plan for this weekend is to read, blog, hang out with my family, and relax. Monday life gets busy again, so I am going to try to fill my tank 😉 What are your plans for this weekend?
