Top Ten Tuesday-Ohio Authors

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Authors (or books by authors) Who Live In My State/Country (submitted by Jennifer @ Funk-N-Fiction) I can think of two off the top of my head, but I will try to come up with ten. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Ohio Authors (clicking on their name takes you to their website)

C. C. Warrens-she writes "stay up all night suspense"-and as I have said here MANY times one of my all-time favorite suspense writers.*

Shelley Shepard Gray-she is best known for her Amish romance stories, but has written some contemporary and suspense stories as well.*

Crystal Caudill-she writes Gilded Age historical romantic suspense books. (chatted with her but didn't technically meet her)

Allison Pearl-her books are more cozy mystery with some suspense.*

Amanda Flower-She mostly writes cozy mysteries across multiple genres. She is a prolific writer.

*authors met

I am sure there are more, but with all the research I did, these are the only ones I could come up with. Do you know of any other authors who live in Ohio?

On a side note: thank you to all four people who voted on what "road" book I should move to the top of my TBR. With a strong three votes, Turtles in the Road by Rhonda Rhea is the winner. My library doesn't have a copy, but Amazon has used copies, so I will be buying it soon.

What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  3. I did Utah authors this week. I'm familiar with Shelley Shephard Gray from your list and have read several of her books, but haven't read any of these other Ohio authors. Yet. :D

    1. Carrie, that is great information! Several that write books set in Ohio no longer live in Ohio, so I was really struggling.

  8. Margaret Peterson Haddix is from OH! I think most of her books are YA or middle grade, but they're great! She spoke at our fifth grade battle of the books in Michigan a couple years ago, I think.

  9. It's fun to see readers/bloggers sharing an experience (or why they like the author) they had with authors this week (like meeting them). That makes for a more unique weekly list and is fun for visitors to read. :) Thanks so much for visiting my list this week!

  15. I haven't heard of any of these books, same as you on mine. But, as you know, I don't really read romantic novels, that might be the reason.

Thanks for visiting my post about German authors.:

    1. Marianne, LOL! Not all of these are romance. As a matter of fact, C.C. Warrens Holly series does not have any romance, but I don't think you read much suspense either, do you?

    2. True, I don't read suspense, either. I just know there are a lot of hearts on romance books.
