Stacking the Shelves #149, Sunday Post #146, Sunday Salon #140

Hey bookish friends! It was a long, hard week. I worked most of today, and have a few things I will need to do tomorrow, so not quite as relaxing as I would like. My son and I both had doctors appointments this week and are impatiently waiting for them to review the results of our bloodwork, and next steps. We both have stuff going on, but they are different things. I can't believe that Christmas is on Wednesday! Are you ready? I am close, but not quite. I am behind on everything (including blogging) right now.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Meddling with Mistletoe by Liz Johnson

100 Days of Strength in any Struggle (in)courage

I had The Intentional Year by Holly and Glenn Packiam out from the library, but it is one to own, so I bought it and the journal with another gift card I had received.

Other updates:

I finished five books this week and DNFed one. A couple of novellas, so they made for quick reading. I still need to write the review for two of them. My book club met this week and we did a book basket exchange. It was so much fun! I made a basket around C. C. Warren's book, Criss Cross (see pics below for what was in it), then I won a basket that revolved around self-care with two nonfiction books and a coloring book (also pictured below). The basket also had markers, twisty pens that featured bookish sayings, a cute mug, warm fuzzy socks, a tea infuser (which I immediately regifted to another lady who had gotten loose tea and didn't have an infuser), small spoons, a book mark, and a cozy pillow!! I felt like I had won the lottery 😂.

I also updated my other blog with a health update, if you want to see what's been going on with me.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

2025 Reading Challenges (I am EXCITED to be doing some again!)

Top Ten Tuesday-Winter 2024-2025 Pile of Possibilities

Book Review: Criss Cross by C.C. Warrens

Book Review: Mistletoe Season by Pepper Basham, Sheila Roberts, Kathleen Fuller

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.
