My Review:
The Story People is the first book I have read by Heather Kaufman. It's always hard to know what to expect when you read an author for the first time.
The Story People is a slow moving story. It is more plot driven than character driven. If you have been following my reviews for a while, you know I prefer the story to be more character driven.
I enjoyed the bookstore as the main setting for the story. I also enjoyed how the community loved Ben and the bookstore.
Things that hindered my enjoyment of the story: long internal monologues, miscommunication, assumptions, and a slow plot.
Overall, it was an okay story, but just not for me.
★★★/5
