Series: Boyfriend in the Bargain #3
Author: Jordan Millsaps
Source: Kindle Unlimited
My Review:
Poor Alex is the only one of his siblings without a family. He is so lonely that when a couple of his friends suggest he let their friend Nora use his kitchen for a cooking show and have him be her student, he agrees without much thought. Her cooking is incredible, and it will be a bonus to have something to occupy his time.
Nora had only briefly mentioned starting a cooking show. She had no actual plans to do it, but when her friends suggested using Alex's kitchen, she slowly agreed. However, she has no intentions of following through. Yet, she finds herself in Alex's kitchen, teaching him to cook, having more fun than she thought she could.
This is another enjoyable book with a unique premise. It was fun seeing Nora and Alex get to know each other, and their chemistry is undeniable. I am sad that the series is over, as I have enjoyed being in their world. I guess I need to check out some of the other series the author has written, LOL!
★★★★/5
Synopsis (Goodreads):
What do I have to lose by letting Nora use my kitchen? Apparently, my heart.
It’s
been three years since my last relationship blew up like an atomic
bomb. I haven’t dated since and would be totally happy to stay single
forever – if the extrovert in me wasn’t so darn lonely.
When my
sister-in-law introduces me to Nora and not-so-subtly suggests that I
should let her use my kitchen for her online cooking show, I quickly
decide it’s a win-win. Nora will have a nice place to film and I’ll get
home-cooked meals and some company out of the deal.
What I’m not
counting on is that the more time we spend together while she teaches me
to cook on camera, the more drawn I am to this beautiful, funny,
overthinking woman. She’s kind and supportive, can cook the heck out of
anything, and brings out the best in me. It seems like she’s into me
too, but can I trust her? Is she actually keeping secrets from me or is
the trauma of my past messing with my perception?
As the show and our relationship continue to grow, I know I need to decide if exploring a future with Nora is worth the risk.
The Kitchen Contract is the third book in the Boyfriend in the Bargain
series but can be read as a standalone. If you like a good meal with a
side of kisses, this partners to friends to more romantic comedy is for
you!
Another fun romance to check out. Yay. :D
