My Review:
Buried Wilderness Secrets is a different type of book than what we normally get from Jaime Jo Wright. This book isn't a dual-timeline novel, has light romance (with kissing!), and features a DOG as a main character (she is partial to cats). However, it is still an engaging read.
This story is a quick read and a great palate cleanser. It has a great setting, an intriguing mystery involving a cold case, an adoption storyline, and, like previously mentioned, a canine hero.
Since it's on the shorter side, I don't want to share more details and risk spoiling anything.
★★★/5
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Uncovering cold case secrets
could be deadly…
Montana park ranger Aaliyah Terrence finds a serial killer’s burial ground—and narrowly survives the brutal attack that follows. And when cold case detective Wade Marlowe reveals that her birth mother was the murderer’s first victim, it soon becomes clear that Aaliyah has been marked as his next target. As their search into the past reveals old skeletons and puts Aaliyah in ever-increasing danger, she’ll have to rely on Wade to keep her safe. But will they discover the killer’s identity before she meets the same end as her mother?
From Love Inspired Courage. Danger. Faith.
