From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith.

MY REVIEW

A fast-paced, Amish suspense novel that will keep your attention from the beginning to the end. The action begins on the first page and continues as the story unfolds. The characters are well-developed and I love that Lilah is a strong character who despite many tragedies is resilient and strong. She will do whatever it takes to find her brother's killer and try to rebuild her life. With the help of Levi, they set out to find the killer before they are killed. Levi suffers from PTSD and has struggles of his own. He has no intentions of getting involved with Lilah, but his protective spirit and experience as a soldier give him the skills they need as they try to figure out who killed her brother.

The secondary characters are also well-developed, the dialogue engaging, and the plot moves smoothly. This book brings out your emotions and there will be times you are tempted to yell at them to be smart. At other times you will wonder what they are thinking. One of the things that I liked about the book is that it kept you guessing. There was not anything to dislike about the book.

I enjoyed this book and would read more from this author. Thank you to the author and JustReads Tours for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

    1. I do too! Have you heard of The Forbidden Gift by Debra Torres? It was different from any Amish book I have ever read.
