Series: Harbored Secrets #3
Author: Natalie Walters
Publisher: Revell
Genre: Christian fiction, suspense, romance

My review:
Natalie Walter's has done it again in the third and final book in the Harbored Secrets series. She has written another gripping suspense novel that will keep you captivated until the very end. While this is the third book in the series it can easily be read as a stand-alone novel. There are characters from the first two stories, but they are small roles and the backstory is not necessary to the understanding of this novel.
Her characters are memorable and flawed, from the main characters to the secondary characters, they are an eclectic, fun crew. I love the witty banter as it lightens the tension at times. I love the meeting between Pecca and Colton and the hilarity that ensues.
Many things caught me off guard as the story built, and I did not figure out all the different elements, nor did I see how they were all going to come together!! The author weaved a masterful story and I appreciated how seamlessly it all came together.
I highly recommend Silent Shadows to fans of romantic suspense, with more of an emphasis on a light, clean romance. I would also recommend this book to fans of Dee Henderson, Colleen Coble, Lisa Harris, and Irene Hannon.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Pecca Gallegos moved to
the tiny town of Walton, Georgia, to protect her son and escape the
dangerous lifestyle that once defined her. When a series of strange
circumstances evolve into threats, Pecca finds herself confiding in an
unlikely ally--her stubborn patient.
Army veteran Colton Crawford
is desperate to recover from the undiagnosed disorder that is ruining
his life, and his instincts are on high alert when threats against his
nurse and her son force him to take action. But Colton's involvement
only ramps up the danger when he uncovers a family secret revealing that
whoever is after Pecca is closer--and more deadly--than they realized.
With
this suspenseful new story, Natalie Walters welcomes you once more to
Walton, Georgia, where everyone knows your name--but no one knows your
secret.
Planning on this one this month as well. Hope time will work out.
ReplyDeleteSarita, I understand, that is one of the reasons I started listening to audio books. I was on the road a TON in July and it helped me to start catching up on some of the reading that I needed to do!
