For Review:
Mike Marty reached out to me this week and asked me to review this book:
Book Mail:
I recently did a post on Facebook looking for people to participate in a book exhange, you send one book and could get up to 36 back, I in the last few weeks I had received 9 books and got another one this week, bringing my total up to 10! 😁
I added 20 books to my Goodreads shelf this week! It's too many to post here 😉
I finished 5 books this week and have started 2 more (1 audio, 1 fiction, still working on the 2 non-fiction I started last week). I have posted or scheduled all of the reviews.
I do a monthly link-up on my family blog and today is the Saturday of the month that it is shared. You can read it here if you'd like to know more about what's going on in my corner of the world.
Yay for snow! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading,
Thanks Greg, it was so pretty (and pretty much gone now, welcome to the south).
DeleteWe got snow today too. But, by this afternoon it was all gone. I did request The Buy In from NetGalley today because you're so enthusiastic about Emma St. Clair. I'm excited to check it out. I hope I get it, but if not, I'll start some of her books anyway.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Wendy!! I think it is supposed to be free on Kindle Unlimited too (if you have that), might be another option. I hope you enjoy her writing as much as I do :)
DeleteWe got snow too! We got 11 inches last week and it is snowing again now. But I do live in Ohio so we get snow every year. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is going to college in Ohio (Knox county) and she enjoys all the snow because we lived overseas for 10 years in countries where it NEVER snowed and then here in NC where it rarely snows! Have a great weekend.
DeleteI'm wanting to read a book by Emma St. Clair, glad to hear you really like her books! The snow we got a week ago is almost completely gone, except in one spot that is kind of shady in my backyard. Have a great week!

Snow is a rare deal around here so I enjoy it! I hope you get a chance to read Emma St. Clair, I really do enjoy her books :) Have a great weekend!
DeleteI'm glad someone enjoys the cold and snow. I've never been a big fan. And now that we're trying to keep our RV warm and exposed hoses and pipes from freezing, I like it even less. I have a feeling we'll be sticking to Florida and southern California in the winter while we keep traveling in the future.
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to know how many books I added to GoodReads this week. I'm trying to clean up my to-read shelf but I probably add 5 books for every one book I delete!
Enjoy your week!
Jen, I enjoy the winter in small doses :) We lived overseas for 10 years in countries where it did not snow, and in some cases, never even got cold. So, snow is a rare treat for us. I have the same problem with Goodreads, I read one, add 5, delete two, add ten...#bookproblems
Deleteno snow here in the florida panhandle, but it is cold.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
Sherry, it is funny to think of Florida as getting cold! Hopefully it won't last to long for you :) Have a good week!
DeleteI am glad you got snow after all this time. Snow is so rare around here--when it happens, it doesn't stick to the ground. I do enjoy seeing it on the surrounding mountain tops. It's quite pretty. The Buy-In sounds good! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy. I LOVE seeing snow in the mountains, it is gorgeous. I do plan to enjoy the Buy-In, can't wait to read it!!
DeleteWe’re in NC too but close to Charlotte, so we only got about an inch of snow. My daughters are in Durham and they got the same amount of snow as you did. I thought it had been a few years since we had any snow. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tessa! It is funny how the snow varies even across the state. I know a family that lives on the other side of town from us and they will get flurries or even a dusting and we will get nothing...same for rain, it is so weird!
DeleteThe book you received for review has a neat cover. I hope it's just as good inside.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you some of our snow, it's always too much or me - around Chicago
Oh wow, Emma, yeah, we traveled overseas for years and we always knew to avoid the Chicago airport in the winter! My sister lives in in Indiana and they would happily send us theirs as well. I am hoping to enjoy it as well. Have a great week!
DeleteThe Buy-In looks good. I'll have to check it out. I hope you enjoy it and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYvonne, I was NOT going to buy anymore books until I had read at least 10 on my shelf, but I decided I HAD to buy that one and it will be here on Thursday, LOL! I need more self-control, LOL. I hope you do check it out and enjoy it. If you have Kindle Unlimited you can read it there.
DeleteIt’s just hot and wet here in Australia.
ReplyDeleteYou can never share too many books, I hope you enjoy them all
Wishing you a great reading week
We lived in Singapore for 3 1/2 years so I know all about hot and wet! We wanted to visit Australia and even looked into a post there...I think it would be a great place to visit/live. Have a great week!
DeleteWe were excited for snow here too! And how cool about your book exchange!
ReplyDeleteYay for snow! Yes, I am thrilled with the book exchange :)
DeleteThe Buy-In looks promising. I hope it's all you are anticipating.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that your book exchange is going so well.
Thanks Deb, I have enjoyed everything I have read by Emma St. Clair (all 4 or 5-star reads), so I do have high expectations as well. Have a great week!
DeleteHow fun to get some snow! As someone who very rarely gets it, it's always a treat when it happens. Glad the book exchange is working out so well!
ReplyDeleteTanya, exactly! I know so many people hate the snow, but it is a rare treat for us. I am thrilled with the book exchange. Have a great week!
DeleteGlad you're enjoying the snow! We moved to FL to escape it, lol.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, that's funny. We rarely get it and we lived overseas for 10 years in countries where it NEVER snows. So, we do enjoy it on the rare occasions we get it. I think if we lived in a place where it snowed all winter we would get tired of it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSnow days are the best! We get a little snow every year, but I always enjoy it when we get a really good snow, which happens every three or four years. Of course, I don't have to go out on the roads when it snows! And the last one we had was a doozy; it brought down a lot of trees and tree limbs. We're just lucky there wasn't much damage at our house, other than to the trees themselves. Anyway, I'm glad you got some snow (without the damage!) and were able to enjoy a morning off with your son.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark, I do cherish the moments with my kiddos, they are growing up, one is away at college and my son will be graduating soon...moments like these will be over before I know it. Have a great week!
DeleteEnjoy the snow and your books! The Emma St. Clair looks good.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI am jealous of your snow and all those new books! Take care and happy reading! 😃
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica :)
DeleteI love snow, winter is my favorite season. Sadly we've only had two snowfalls that accumulated anything here in eastern Nebraska, which is unusual and concerning to say the least.
ReplyDeleteSarah, we rarely get snow so it was nice while it lasted :)
