Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all had a fabulous New Year's weekend! Ours was pretty mild. My kids had friends over all day Thursday and Friday, and then we had our youth group over on Sunday, and this introvert is still trying to recover!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is your most anticipated reads for the first half of 2022. Since I have already done that post and will link it below, I decided to do a pretty random post today 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today!
First, I am going to introduce you to my family and tell you just a little bit about us since I have not done that on this blog.
I have been married to Matt for 22 1/2 years, we dated 2 years before we got married. Our 23rd wedding anniversary will be in May, we were just babies when we married and I feel like we grew up together! I am Type A personality and he is very much laid back type B, so we balance each other nicely 😂
Our daughter Kayla is 19 and will be headed back to college in Ohio tomorrow. It will be her fourth semester but she goes back as a Junior 😊 When she is home she works at Chick-fil-A. My son Elijah, is 16. We homeschool and he works at Chick-fil-A part time. We are trying to decide if we will graduate him in May (he has enough high school credits, hates school, would rather work, but is still trying to decide what he wants to do when he grows up). He will be taking 2 computer classes at our local community college starting on Friday (online insert eye roll) to see if he wants to do anything with computers. If he does, we will keep him in school at the community college for another year and graduate him in 2023. We are ALL book addicts and we have bookshelves in EVERY room of our house (except the bathrooms and laundry room), and even a bookcase in one of our closets 😂 I think we have 23 bookcases in the house.
Now, back to the bookish stuff and hopefully you were not annoyed at my little introduction!

Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteFun post! I come from a family of readers, too. And I'm very jealous of your 23 bookshelves. We have eight at my house, but could use at least 2 or 3 more. :D
ReplyDeleteLark, I did not grow up with many books in my home and I think that's why I boarder line hoard books, LOL! We homeschool so some are curriculum books, but still, 23 shelves :)
DeleteI loved learning a little about your family, so thanks for that. It's always fun to learn a little more about the blogger behind the blog!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Thanks Susan, I think so too. Happy Tuesday!
DeleteAww, yay! I always enjoy posts like this. Your family sounds wonderful so thanks for sharing them with us. :)
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, I think they are pretty great, but, ya know, I am also pretty biased :) I enjoy posts like this too, but I also realize it is not everyone's cup of tea. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI absolutely love your post. Such a great way to get to know you better. And all the links to your lists. Just great. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT this week is also not what the topic said.
Oh, and what? No books in the bathroom?!?!
DeleteMairanne, easy enough to carry the current book with you, LOL! Thanks for stopping by!!
DeleteHaha, I know. I usually have at least one book in the bathroom for visitors, though, and I always get funny comments about that.
DeleteMarianne, I can see that :)
DeleteThanks for sharing about your beautiful family
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks :)
DeleteThat's lovely to introduce your family. I have a 3 year old and do the odd Toddler Recommends posts on my blog where I put some of his favourite books 😂 he loves to read and I have been reading to him since he was a bump!
ReplyDeleteI started my blog in June and have loved seeing what everyone else in the book community is up to! I'm in the UK so have learnt quite a lot from other people from all over the world and all walks of life!
Happy New Year and Happy TTT!
Emily @ Budget Tales Book Blog
