Stacking the Shelves #21, Sunday Post #18, Sunday Salon #13

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? It was a very busy week and start of the weekend, which is why I am getting this out later than usual. My son had a music performance this morning. It was supposed to be an hour and a half with all the students performing. It was 2 1/2 hours!! The weather started out great but was pouring by the end. My in-laws had come to see my son perform and then came over for lunch. Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the moms out there. 😀

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

NetGalley:

No new books.

Library:

I am intentionally trying NOT to add to my shelves (although I really want to see what's new on Net Galley 😂). I added 5 books to my Goodreads shelf this week.

I only finished 2 books this week 😲 which is low for me.

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. Only one new book? Impressive. I was trying to not add any, and I wound up with three. Of course, one was a pre-order, so that was coming anyway.

  2. Wow, well don on your restraint! Congratulations on your son's performance. I would agree that 2.5 hours at a musical performance is a bit much, especially for the children.

    1. Wendy, yes. It was exhausting and all I was doing was sitting and watching, LOL.

  4. I'm trying to keep my new book acquisitions to a minimum, too. Doesn't always work though! ;-)

  6. It's so hard not to get new free books, isn't it? Yay for musical performances, but boo for them being almost twice as long as expected! Hope you have a good week, thanks for stopping by Lisa Loves Literature earlier!

  7. Nice that you went to your son's performance on Mother's Day, in spite of the weather. I'm sure he appreciated it.

  8. I'm glad you had a nice family day for Mother's Day. I just take the free books. They are digital so it's no issue for storage.

  9. Good job for not adding books to your shelves. That is so hard to do and takes so much self-control!

  10. Only one new book? That's great! I wish I'd learn how to cut back, especially since I've been in a reading slump for quite a while and the books are adding up faster than I'm reading.

  12. You are doing great in keeping your shelves bare. It's often so hard to resist the temptation of new books.

    Happy Mother's Day to you!

  14. Tackling the TBR is waiting for you... But seriously, congrats on reigning in book accumulation. I have been really vigilant the last few weeks, but like you I am itching to get over to NetGalley and see what needs to be read.
